There have been a number of threads recently explaining who the [23] are.
In short, a while ago someone (who was acting like Derisor at the time) proposed that 23 particular forum *****s kept laying the smackdown on his stupid ideas, whines, and trolls. The name stuck.
Then someone figured, hell, its 'the 23', why not use brackets. So we're the [23].
