When did that happen?
I did convert some people in my corp to accept the invisible pink unicorn as their god. Does that count?

As a Christian myself, I try to act ingame in a way that reflects my out of game beliefs. However, I dont think that it's my responsibility to beat people over the head and harrass them to become Christians. Certainly, I won't avoid discussions about religion, but neither do I feel I have to keep hammering it at people. My corp is not a "Christian" corp but I do try to keep a clean, family-friendly environment. Just because Eve is a game and doesn't promote religion, doesn't mean it that people who are religious have to change who they are to play the game.
That website is a spoof and is mockery of Christianity. However, there are some people though that use religion as a tool to beat people and sadly it makes people think that websites like that one are serious.
Are there missionary corps out there? Dunno, I would say that it's possible. But tbh, I've found more people trying to spread agnosticism and atheism ingame than trying to push Christianity. There are plenty more who think it's their job to mock religion whenever they get a chance. And those doing so have been far more aggresive in trying to win people over than any Christians I've met ingame.

Religious fanatics deserve to be mocked. There are people in WoW who will follow you around, trying to convert you to X religion, and then if you tell them to leave, they'll petition you.
Religious fanaticism is responsible for the a huge number of today's problems in the world--anti-science, terrorism, Israeli-Palestinian conflict, racism, etc. People should learn to deal with each other, stop trying to turn everyone to each other's faiths, and just learn to live together. Being a jew or muslim is no "worse" than a christian, and vice versa. If everyone realised that people's beliefs are their own choice, and not a "good" or "bad" thing, the world would be a much better place. -- Proud member of the [23].

As a devout Christian, I have to say... I love the Landover Baptist stuff. I think they're quite an appropriate satire of the hardcore evangelicals that dominate our media and government. It's quite easy, in my opinion, to poke fun at religion without attacking the faith it is based upon.
In-game missionaries? I think if you want to spend your time sharing your faith with others, get out in the real world and do some good. Get involved in volunteer organizations (secular or religious) and share your faith by your actions, not by your words. It's not really possible in my opinion to "serve God" by playing a game, even if you talk about Him in it.

Linkage
I pray that link is a joke or something cause what those people are doing is called harrasment.
Quote: All the money I make from selling occult items to unsaved gamers, I auction off on E-bay for real cash, which I then put into the offering plate at our church on the last Sunday of each month."
I don't know if I should cry or laugh. These people need professional help... and fast.

i have no problem with people having different religious beliefs, however the concept of missionaries always seriously rubbed me the wrong way. The tactics and rhetoric they employ simple makes my blood boil. If you are religious its cool, do whatever you want. But when somebody goes and tries to basically impose their beliefs on others, its just not cool in my eyes.
But anyway if a real life religion missionary corp ever popped up in eve i cant see them surviving very long. Way too many people (including me) would want them wiped off the face of eve.
