How do you defend against Statis Web?

At the moment there is nothing you can do (except for using MWDs, which will increase your speed when webbed). If you get "dual" stasised, you're probably smoked even with a MWD though.
2000m/s -> 300m/s -> 45m/s.
I heard something about anti-stasis modules in the next patch. Rumors or not, we'll see then!

How are you going to get away anyway?
If I were doing the 'webbing' I'd just follow the guy to keep him in range as he tried to run

Webs don't stop you dead in your tracks so if you can get out of range quickly enough you can start to accellerate to your maximum speed. Good agility will allow you turn away without losing as much speed as your opponent and you should be able to escape.
If you're in trouble and you've been webbed down to 500 or less you may as well start making your peace as death is imminent. The key thing is to gauge when you are in trouble before it is too late...and that is much easier said than done...

If I am traveling thru lots of jumps, as I pop out of warp I hit my MWD todrop out of warp at 1700m/s (ish) then its only usualy 3-4 seconds b4 I jump thru the gate to next system.
They are gonna have to be quick and hit real hard to kill a thorax in that time.
Thats my way round it anyway, or just hammer them as hard as you can and go down fighting.

By getting to the gate at 300m/s.
Seriously, almost 100% of this stuff happens at stargates. |
