There is an issue preventing petitions from being submitted. The cause is being investigated and a fix should be made soon. Updates will be made as information becomes available.

Edited by: Blacklight on 16/08/2005 18:04:36 Kieron is the time at which the system stopped successfully receiving petitions known?
If you can publish that it might prevent some people resubmitting petitions unecessarily.
Thanks

After downtime today. Only petitions sent from in-game were affected and caused the petition submission form not to appear. Cluster reboot at 18:15 should sort this problem. ------ Valar Quality assurance department CCP games |

Change the ".net" part to ".com" and it should work fine. I was using the .net and had to update my bookmark.

For the past couple (more than a couple) years the 2 ways to get to the eve site were
eve-online.com and eveonline.net note first one has a - , second one doesnt.
I just noticed yesterday the second no longer works. It had been working fine up until yesterday.

The petition system is working after the server reboot. A petition category had been renamed to assist with the classification of petitions and it turns out that the name change did the opposite.

That's quite like when I asked all the guys in [SNIGG] to call me Susan on a Friday, it just kind of... oh.. crap... wait. NVM...

basically, yes. It didn't start up properly and there's oodles of lag, so they're going to have another go.

And they've got a sense of humor about it...
"Ther server will be shutting down now for the daily unscheduled down time..."
I was listening on TS as at least three people jumped into a system, or were in warp, hung waiting system/destination load, and woke up either in pods or stations. One guy even got ganked because of the DT warning box popping up and preventing him from doing anything until he hit 'OK' on the stupid thing. *LOL*

unbelievable
probelm occured at lunchtime, server took down at 18.15 gmt now it's 21.27 gmt
we have been promised info "soon" ???
my word CCP have a very odd idea about the meaning of the word soon and again, just like the last "server issue" we have no real info
CCP really do understand one thing - they have you by the balls and tehy already have your money
can i ask when we can expect some sort of stablity?
don't tell - i know... "soon"
an amazing game, second to none in concept and design - made so frustating by a lag of delivery

I cannot beleive some of you who are *****ing and wining, eve is a cluster. There are bound to be problems
A cluster consists of multiple computers(sometimes hundreds) that are connected as one. Sharing data, and each proccesing a certain amount of data. Problems happen, **** happens, dont sit here and cry and wine about how you have no life and play video games all day. Take a deep breath. Get out of that chair, open front door, and take a walk.
Trust me, you will feel much better. I am sure CCP is trying there hardest to get the server back up.

FFS, why does it allow you half way in then hang? Then why does a whole hour of waiting give cluster full (x10) then repeated 'starting up 580s' messages? AND, why did an error with the petition system result in the crippling of the whole EVE Universe, couldn't the reboot have waited until a low-demand period?
I'm ranting I Know, but a skill's expired :)

And I am sure CCP are doing all they can as usual to fix the problem and make the masses happy again.
