Hello everyone
I hope this was not suggested before, here is my idea.
I am new to nullsec and did not do a lot of PVP until last month. I realize that what I really like after a successful fleet is to look at kill mails and see how our fleet did. On the other side when the fleet get whelp I still look and see how we were out numbered.
Now I have been playing a lot as a logistic ship lately and found it a bit sad that there was nothing that would remind how the logistic team did after a fight. All you could do is ask your fleet to "o7" if they were save from structure by logi and hope to see a lot of them :P On the other side if everybody was kill you had no idea if your team still did great or not. So this gave me an idea.
It would be really cool if there was something like Logi mail. It could be created when someone receive X% of their armor or shield in repair. It could also post if the ship survived or not, cause a ship could get a lot of repair but still get kill.
Let's use 80% as an example. Someone with 10 000 shield points receives over 8000 points in repair would generate a logi mail with all pilots that repaired him on it.
Something cool that could also be done is to show the estimated amount of isk saved without necessary posting the fit of the saved pilot.
Don't get me wrong, logi pilot receive a lot of love from most fleets they join, but it would give a chance to logi pilot to also brag about awesome save they did. |

I saw this idea on reddit too, and someone in the comment said
Quote:The more I think about this the more I like the idea. As much as everyone hates people who take KBs too seriously, it's still very nice to have a record of your past accomplishments and logibros just don't get any love in that department currently.
I could not agree more :) |

Try this on for size:
In any single engagement where enough damage is applied to a ship to destroy it, and that ship is kept alive due to logistic support: A save mail is generated. It should show a listing of all logi pilots who contributed shield or armor reps to the target ship, as well as percentage of that ship's health restored.
For each time this occurs, a new save mail is created. (100% damage would be reached, mail generated and counters resett for next event, repeat when 100% damage reached again)
This would also respect power transfers, as the saved vessel stops being self sustaining at the point it's capacitor would have ran out due to use or draining effects. Cloaking being on a ten minute manual cycle timer? (Author: Bree Okanata) Fine. As long as there is a ten minute timer for being docked in a station. Also, you can't stop moving in the game. Just add in a way so every ten minutes you are randomly warped to the nearest other player. Keeps people from going AFK. |

Here's the problem: a system like this would immediately begin generating tens of thousands of 'bogus' savemails generated via PvE content. Who hasn't seen a killboard of some hapless ratter who gets popped by a ganker after having been fighting Nullsec pirates for a few hours? Almost all ratting ships will repair many times their effective HP over time, since that's how ratting ships work.
You'd have to tailor this to remote reps received specifically, which might be doable, but I'm not sure how significant the technical hurdles are. |

As to how would they know... Logi support is already pointed out as having in game consequences due to the flagging system already. If you rep someone, and they have an active Limited Engagement because they fired on a suspect or criminally flagged player, you will be flagged as suspect for doing so.
So yes, they know when repping takes place in a PvP situation quite well.
And the damage taken is implied to be from PvP, in this context. Like on a kill mail, most of it could have been due to NPC activity, meaning the first save mail could be misleading the same way. Not sure about "savemails" as this would generate literally thousands of mails for no particular reason, also they are not informative or useful in any way. If logis work well - you'll get a nice related after fight as reward. But if CCP added logis in killmails (either in separate tab or @end of involved parties) with negative damage numbers (+hp) and changed "damage taken" field to "total damage taken" and "repaired amount" fields where "repair amount" field shows hp restored by both local and remote reps <- that would be much more informative and useful. |

Unfortunately something like this was suggested many times.
But as a logistic pilot, I will support this every time it will be suggested. |

Simply add logis to killmails with negative damage...
It would add new category in killboards :) |

I would like a covert ops metric, whereby any fleet I get a warp-in on gets me a "scout-mail", crediting me with every kill in the fleet.
My killboard stats must reflect my contribution, because how will anyone take me seriously unless I have a piece of paper that says I did what I did? Hello, hello again. |

This just helps perpetuate the myth that killboard stats are important and killmails are important. So no I guess. "If an injury has to be done to a man it should be so severe that his vengeance need not be feared." - Niccolo Machiavelli |

I thought about that solution, but what I did not like is that you would only appear on ship that logi did not save :P If you save someone from structure you will never know it happened. On the other side, this could be implemented really easily and would already be better than nothing :)
I really don't care about my stats, the only thing I like is to remember good fights when I look back at my killmail a month or even a year later.

That same aspect occurred to me.
The only times you would appear is when the ship you were trying to save got destroyed. A kill mail, to the perspective of a logi, is a fail mail.
