HI, I was reading forum for good PvP setup but Im confused. Better to use shield tank or armor? And what put in hi slots? All nos? remote rep for drones? Ship is sweet but low PG makes it hard to fit.

For PvP a tank setup is not the most usefull thing to have either way. However, the Dominix is one of the few ships in existence that can fit 7 damage mods and a shield tank + cap booster. (If not the only one) Armor tanking a Dominix for PvP is also possible, and often found on Vampire-setups.

with high skills i would say hi 6x350mm rails med 2xsensor booster 3x whatever you fancy (ew is pretty cool) low 6xdmg mods 1xmed armor rep T2
with low skills just change the 350mm for dual 250mm (with advanced weapon upgrades the 350mm fits other wise no room for the other stuff)
for pvp mix preators and berserkers and valkyrie/vespa and dont forget small drones for player ceptors dmg of em might not be gr8 but they do have the speed and tracking to chase em away

dom is very versatile so lots of good set up's, such as
High 6 Heavy nos
Med 1 Xlarge shield booster 1 20km warp disruptor 3 Shield hardeners
Low 7 PDU II
Then use a mix of dmg drones and add some lights in for those fast lil buggers (ceptors) although with the nos u can usually hit em with the heavy drones
This set up is great for 1 vs 1's, and in small gangs and skirmishes, it can also bring a gank ship to no cap be4 it kills u to but be aware that the tank isnt to strong so dont expect to tank a couple of BS
another set up would be
High 6 Dual 250mm Railguns
Medium 1 Xlarge shield booster 1 Heavy cap injector 1 20km Warp disruptor 2 Shield hardeners
Low 7 Damage mods
And again lots of drones
This set up is good for in gangs and i suppose in 1vs1's also, this set up is similar to Jamesw 's dom set up, only he uses 2 wcs, but dont use wcs on the dom, its too good a ship to use wcs on

I took down a Raven, and 5 minutes later a Megathron the other day with the following setup, although not ideal for PvP (actually a lvl 3 mission setup) it worked a treat!
H: 4 x 250mm Scout 2 x Heavy Nos M: 100mn Afterburner, 3 Barton Cap Rechargers, Tracking computer II L: 3 x Hardeners, Mag Field Stab, 1600mm Tungsten, Armour Rep II, Cap Relay
+ 14 Heavy Drones (Ogres, Wasps, Berzerkers)
You can run the tank forever, and the drones will eat them alive . . .
The Raven was camping a gate. He locked me and fired everything he had, i went to 3/4 armour and held, after a while the NOS killed his tank and the drones finished him off in 20 seconds or so. His mate tried to jump me at the local station, not realising that the sentrys would be a little angry lol But with this setup i found that he was doing little damage anyway.

Tested myself (Geddon) vs Domi.
Geddon kills Domi with 4 NOS and 1 Neut before Domi kills your cap or you. Domi was armor tanked.
Had a 1v1 with Domi and took it down before it did me, it had 3 NOS. I don't go full gank and had 6 not 7 Pulse on. Fight ended with me on 25% cap.
However, slap on some Multispecs and things get much more interesting :) Even if you only get 1-2 cycles out of 10 in, you'll remove that cap and that will be it.

For any vampire-fit. i always mix 3 NOS + 1 Neut.: 1 NOS - 100 energy/12sec 1 Neut. - 500 energy/24sec (just the basic stats) It helps a lot in drying an opponents cap... --

This is my set-up atm (altho used quite a few across the Domi spectrum)
High:
3 x Heavy Nos 3 x med Nos
2 x SB II 1 x Tracking disruptor II 1 x Disruptor 1 x web
2 x Large rep 3 x hardeners (kinetic, thermal, explosive) 2 x CPR
Range of heavy droenes (all dmg types)
Well Its worked so far but Im wondering whether anyone would suggest ways to improve it. Really I want it to be able to 1 v 1 BS and its worked on some, but obviously havnt tried all BS types and fittings. So input is welcome!

Vamp Domi is THE only way to go. Shes vicious.
use their cap to run your tank (2 large tech 2 reps), then once drained and pinned down, release 15 heavies to bathe them in the glory of their imploding hull.

I have always found powergrid to be a hindrance trying to run more than 4 nos and an armour tank. I find that too many RCUs are needed for decent tanking.
My 2c on the matter.

actually a dominix for small gate battle is great .But alone against 2 bs any ship is hard.
Wolverine you cant travel safely in bs alone unless you got instas and warp core stabs.
Eve is very group oriented, even ultra mega player with tons of skills and a bs worth 2 bilions isk will get pwnd by 2-3 decent players.

well the fact is that a raven (nowadays) need a shiatload of training, and if you want to have a sniper tempest you need a shiatload of training aswell. Anyway if you can't do anything fun in 6 months that is indeed rather disturbing. I'd say join a better corp, or get an Assault Friggate or Heavy Assault Ship, those own =) -------------------------------------------------- HistoryIsMuchLikeAnEndlessWaltzTheThreeBeatsOfWarPeaceAndRevolutionContinueOnForever

Domi is can realy do everything (mabey except sniping) and I find it effective to use it for little bit of everything. Highs: NOS Meds: EW Lows: Armor tank.
I usualy bring 15 EM drones and 15 expl drones and depending on enemy i launch the EMs or the expls (lub the possibility to group drones). Wont get a very heavy tank on it due to low PG and high use of PG on heavy NOS but its enough to tank enemy drones.

Yea I do.Eve is realistic and life isnt fair:).
Anyway if you get good at pvp in this actual period of time ( pvp changes dramatically across time) , know most often used setups , know the strenghts of current modules, you can take on multiple bs and have achance of wining.
Around 1/2 year ago at height of my most intensive Eve playing, i managed to kill alone with another friends cruiser backup 3 bs and 3 cruisers.
But it was once, another time i got smoked by 2 enemy bs and 2 intercpetors, i only destroyed the 2 inties.
Good luck:)
Btw Im Polish too:)
PS Some enemy pilots are honourous and can be trusted with duels.ITs then fair and quite fun. However many cheat:( Powodzenia

Last piece of advice if you are impatient and want to hunt alone better use an elite frig, interceptor or assault frig .You got high chances to warp out before you get warp scrmbled when you land in middle of an ambush.

This is my favourite setup:
4 heavy nos, 2 med guns
disruptor, 4 jammers (usually multispecs, but sometimes you know what you're going against)
2 large armor reps, 4 hardeners, RCU
I've never lost a 1v1 in that, because you either kill them, or you are able to warp away cause they can't scramble you. Even if they have some support, you just suck the cap or jam and leave. I've even done a few 2v1s and either won or come very close.
Jammers are the clincher. They can't fight back, you break their tank, you win.
