Dunno, if this has been resolved on the forums. A cruise missile fitted on a stealth bomber has an explosion radius of only 42m (with my skills). On a Raven it is much bigger (around 250m). So with a bomber you can do (nearly) full damage even to little objects. We did some testings with T1 frigates. A Purifier bomber killed a Vigil with only 3 cruise missiles no matter if the Vigil was mwding or not. Raven would need a few volleys with 6 launchers. Just wondered if this is intended by the devs or if it is a bug. If it is intended then please add the bonus to the bomber's description.

This kind of thing isn't a bug... they explicitly coded that bonus.

Yeah it was painfully obvious that the changes to how missiles work would make Stealth Bombers even MORE worthless. So they coded the hidden bonus in. It really should be displayed in the description though...

avon, if it is a bug and they fix it, then it is not a nerf. but, knowing it and NOT reporting it (did you well?) would be abusing an exploit!
however as stated, the bomber would be uttely useless without it and probebly has the bonus installed on purpose.. Of course in this case the bonus should be included in the discription, so everyone can know that this ship has this bonus and that they are forewarned and maybe even want to fly one themselves?

from my experiance, this redused exp radius thing works vs T1 frig''s at any speed
but the sig reduction bonus of interceptors really save's thier butt, though a webbed inty is a dead inty

Its not hidden. It was made that way, and made public so that stealth bombers wern't only effective versus BSs. Its really nice. But Bombers still see no love. Shame, too.

Would be really awesome if they did Stealth Bombers work much better against larger targets instead of smaller targets. Of course, the topic at hand: No, it's just a hidden feature. Also, cannot find it in patch notes nor missile information, but I am certain devs have atleast hinted at this. --

Second to last item on the bottom left. If it were a bug, I doubt it would show up as a parameter on the ship.

Given the best unit you can put on them has a 30 second "recharge" period, i'd almost be willing to say by the time you uncloak, wait for recal time, lock, fire, missiles travel to target (given much faster missile flight now), it should probably be right about that 30 second gap . Yeah, i know this isn't exactly what you meant, but seeing this bonus has certainly got me looking at bombers in a different way.

The bonus isn't on the bomber's desc because the bonus isn't effected by any skills, and only bonuses that are effected by skill levels are put in the ship bonuses section.

I still don't understand why its called 'a bomber' if it fires cruise missiles. These ships should carry a single citadel torpedo and a wing of these should spell doom to an unsuspecting battleship.

1800 base damage, 167m blast..... that could so some hurtful things to a webbed cruiser... would be interesting.... Maybe a 3 high slot, long cycle time, citadel launcher could be fun. I doubt ever seeing one, but it sure would introduce some panic when seeing a wing of these uncloak.

The thing is that a bomber should be something that is quite easy to shoot down but carries a deadly single-release payload to targets that stay put. They shouldn't be used against other frigs, but BS's (and dreads/titans in the future).
Maybe they could make new tech II heavy cruiser bombers that could each have one citadel torp loaded up and one in cargo. It would be a nice addition to fleet battles if a wing of say 5 of these would pose such a threat that they would be the primary target when they enter a battle.
Of course they would have to be fragile enough to need an escort of other ships to keep em alive.
