I am my corp's consumables manager which largely means I manufacture and manage the stock levels of T1 modules and ammo in all the corp locations where stocking of these items occurs.
The problem is that we've tried several times to give me the role that will allow me to REMOTELY view the corp hanger where we stock T1 modules and ammo, so I can tell if I need to remotely manufacture something.
But, the CEO has been unable to give me that role. When he tries, the game screen flickers once like something is being reset, but the remote view tab in the Corporation window never appears. Logging out of the game and in doesn't help.
The game seems to want me to be a "director" in order to have this role, whatever that is.
 Does anyone know if it's possible to get this role without having to be made a 'director'? And if yes, how do you do that?

this isn't my strong suit, but director = all roles. So if giving you director works, then there is some role that will work.

I'd suggest looking into the program jeveassets http://eve.nikr.net/jeveasset
Then you can get a corporate API key with access to the asset list (nothing else is /needed)
At that point, you can work out shopping list and so on, all in the program.
It's not an in game thing, but it works well.

You need Accountant under the General roles category to view assets remotely.
It'll let you view hangars remotely whether you have Query permissions or not. If you have Take permissions then you'll also be able to remotely r-click -> deliver items to another hangar.
It'll also let you look a wallet transactions and see wallet balances, though you wont actually have wallet access unless you're given it under the Accounting (Divisional) roles category.
