How would i be able to run this mission in my Worm any ideas? The fact the sentry guns can engage at 250km and I can't seem to get within range of them to use my tech 2 drones without my shield popping (my skills aren't up to par yet) but any ideas will be helpful. I intend to use the Worm so any comments or posts about abandoning the idea will be promptly ignored. |

isn't that the one where you only need to kill the telescope itself? maybe try to set your drones on the telescope, fit an afterburner and a few nanos and sig tank the rats. probably won't work but its the best i got.

I don't want to rule out the obvious but did you check eve-survival? Specifically http://eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=SpaceTelescope3&show_comments=1#comments ?
If not, I'd start there. Yes, you can complete any mission in a frigate, but it will take forever and probably get you blown up a few times in the process. If you want to complete missions in a reasonable amount of time and with little risk, it's a good idea to follow the standard ship progression on missions and use a battlecruiser or better on level 3's. |

With my assault frigate (Hawk) flying alt I did it the following way:
1) Ship has afterburner and high shield resists.
2) Fly to the right (sentry guns are closest) and pop one of them. Warp away and get shields back up. If any of the rats come within reach while doing that, pop them up but don't let that slow down from taking down the gun.
3) Repeat the move and pop another gun from the right.
4) Fly to the left and take down both guns from there. By now the incoming fire has been reduced enough that you can probably take everything else down on the same run.
And just to make it clear, my frigate flying alt does not have core certificates at standard level, nor are other skills particularly high. So, it is doable at Hawk, but I have never tried it on Worm. |
