Scan them first?
Avoid firing at them next to the station?
Actually I dunno, thought they were random just like rat drops.

Npc convoys carry the stock of the originating station. Not sure if that applies to blueprints or special loot, however.
So if you raid a convoy coming from a logistics station, you're likely to get munitions. Trade goods from a retail center. Ect.
During beta, I got a reaper from a ship assembly. Only problem was you couldn't get it out of the cargo pod. Not enough cargo space

well yeah you have kinda comfirmed what i thought.
however i coulnt go from the market with H minning drones.
so am unsure where to start looking.
i have checked the minning places and ship assembly.. the funny thing tho i got more drones from the ship place than the minning.

Trading crap? What region are you in?
Put in sell orders for that 'trading crap'. If you set the price at a fair value below NPC price someone will buy that 'trading crap'. Then you don't have to worry about moving it and you'll get some isk for all that 'trading crap'.

I've tried most of the station types in the northern regions. Best hit was from the Caldari Navy (weaklings) in a 1.0 system on arrival, 4 convoys ships were on their final heading, and got robbed. By the time I got all their loot back to their base to sell it back to them, another 4 ships were leaving.
Twas a busy night, for sure.
at NPC prices, each ship carried about 500k of military ordinance. In real prices, about 250k each. So it's only about a million, but the fact I'm selling them back to Caldari 'warriors' is worth an extra million in irony points.

eve-i.com has a great guide for hitting convoys. It also has a loot worth table too and a list of all the convoy ships. It really helped me out tremendously. Now I am all aces.

I noticed when I hit a convoy last night I killed 4 bestowers full of data sheets. I also noticed that even though I destroyed them in 0.7 space I didnt take a security hit, I just lost standing with the amarr empire. Is that a bug or is that how it is supposed to happen.

only time you go down with them is when you hit on RL players.
