My corp are looking to set up a group of POS's in low sec with a couple of other corps to built T2 components. Having seen the requirments of fuel & stuff each one needs, im curious. If your POS is left to go offline, Is it possible for someone to blow up the control tower & steal the bits?

If a determined fleet shows up, they can blow up your control tower while it is online...as far as taking the off line modules, I do not think you can. They would have to destory them also.
I do not have a POS atm (hell, i can not even log into the game right now) but this is information I have gotten from the Forums and from talking to other players.
If I am mistaken in my information, anyone feel free to correct me on this.

The short answer is yes AND no.
They can blow up your POS if its offline or online. If its offline, the shield is down so they can target ANY module.

Noone can steal the POS parts though, only a corp member with appropriate rights can unanchor the structures. Once they are unanchored anyone can scoop them if the POS is offline.

Noone (outside your corp) can steal ANY POS modules if they are anchored.

When people pop the Corp hangars and ship arrays they can however get your stuff and ships from those.

you cant stal a pos, but if you blow it up you can collect the scrabs, just like a ship. it can drop alot of fuel, special the hangar array.

Having gone through the the grief of dismantling a POS, I can confirm that you can only unanchor POS modules when the POS tower is online. If you're going to raid an offline POS then you have to destroy the modules, in which case you may get the contents of the storage spaces.
