I just tried to order a subscription again, and it seemed to go through fine. After the successful order, I got a confirmation page that had the oder info, and immediately received an email with the same info.

Kind of expensive but i'm a fan so I had to get a sub. Glad I waited till tonight to place my order sounds like there was some issues but it seems sorted now my order went through ok and I got the email.
The short stories sound awesome and is it true that there may be some sort of ads that are bought by corps in game via in game money? It would be cool to see ads from some of the big production corps Can't wait to get the 1st issue!

Great. My order *seems* to have gone through. At least the error didn't show and I got shoved back to another page. No email though.
The whole ordering system is so ****** up. How can I get info on whether the order went through or not now? I'll not put in a second order just guessing it didn't. Not at this price.

Woot! 5th attempt and a day later and my order seems to have gone through. I was directed to an order confirmation page and I got an order confirmation email so I'm assuming that the undisciplined Minmater order slaves that were causing the trouble have now been sent to a correction facility and it now works . It's a good job I'm so addicted to Eve cos I certainly wouldn't pay $66 for any other magazine. Let's hope it lives up to the price tag.

The billing system and billing company were not talking to each other yesterday and it was because of this that subs could not be ordered. There were also some players that could not pay for subscriptions, transfer characters, etc.
I'm going to write up a news item about the issues in a few moments. It should be possible to subscribe to the magazine now.

Got the 1-year subscription.
I subscribe to only one other magazine (UK pub, shipped to Canada), and sometimes it arrives in great condition. But often, the spine's bent up a bit, or the corners are worn down, or the lengthwise fold just won't go away. It's just a fact of life when something's shipped that way.
So, all this talk about "limited edition" pains me, since I know it will arrive already somewhat beaten up. I'd ask that they be shipped in more durable mailing sleeves, but that increases the costs. And I get the feeling these guys are breaking even on this. |

When I got a magazine shipped to me from switzerland they put it in a nice bubble wrap envelope.. they cost a few cents so it might be like that for E-On.. not sure.

I think you guys would make more money if you lowered the price, because then more people would subscribe.

I was excited about getting a sub. but at that price I think I will just settle for getting the first issue.

To the various players taking issue with the price, please remember one thing. CCP is a small company and at this point, we do not have the same leverage with product and pricing that other companies (NCsoft, Sony, EA) enjoy. So, when we go to an external source for items (FanFest flight tickets, magazine pricing, etc.) we can negotiate pricing with them, to a degree. In the end, we get the best deal we can for the players. The price per issue for E-ON may be high, but it is the lowest price we could negotiate with the publisher.

Looks and sounds amazing, I'd definatly get it... if it wasnt so limited on payment types.. why not allow the same types as for when paying for the game? I only have a debit card so atm I can't get one...

Why not do an electronic (ebook) version. Then you would not have to worry about high publishing costs and we could get it much cheaper.

Actually UO had a pdf fan mag long before NeMa came about... and before that some obscure 80's MUDS had newsletters. NeMa is very good, but it's a fan-made pdf magazine. For all intents and purposes a pdf mag is a printer-friendly website. EON is professionally written, designed and PUBLISHED. ie. It comes on paper, very nice paper in fact.

Hey, here's another great idea: How about CCP let us all play EVE for free, forever.

i ordered the first issue. and tbh its out ove a quater so to England you are paying like ú10 and when you consider that probably half of you buy pcgammer once a month at ú5 it aint much to pay ú10 for a mag specific for the game you love.

I subscribed and to be honest, I don't mind paying a bit more for a magazine that deals only with EVE. I'm willing to pay for a quality magazine and so far, everything that has come out of CCP is of very high quality, it's polished and professional.
I don't expect anything less from E:ON and I don't think I'll be disapointed.
Can't wait! It ships out on my birthday!!!

To those with serious issues about the price, please consider these points. I think they sum it all up very nicely.
Small-run print jobs are not cheap. A big print gaming publication can sell more copies in a month than EVE has subscribers, so price comparison is very apples-to-oranges. |

Ah! Someone knows NeMa (I didn't remember name but now you said it, I remember it. Yes, it was nice because I haven't followed it for eons althou game itself was very nice. NeMa was nicely done and printed every issue with laser color printer and got "almost professional" mag feeling :). I know your promoting E-ON as a real magazine, yet it's still mag printed on hi-quality papter with super "printers"

Ouch, dev himself spanked me . Okay fine, I will order first issue and see what you have done. If it impresses me, I will take whole year, m'Kay?
You can put now some isks to my wallet ^^;;
Edit: Uuh, seems like nothing happens when I click Order button. Fix it and you can reap my CC _______________________________________________ My opinions aren't my corporations opinions.

Is anyone else getting owned by the credit card verification system? For some reason the website keeps spitting something along the lines of "LOL INTERNET'D!" at me whenever I try to verify my credit card number. Happened in Firefox, and I even sank so low as to try IE. No dice.
All fields are correct, and I know for a fact that this is a good card. Any suggestions? -------------- What good are actions if there's no one to tell the tale afterward?
