High = 4x Med Solace remote rep Med = 2x tracking link 2's, 2x med cap boosters (with 400's), 1x sensor damp low = 4x beta cap relay
Seems to work ok in quickfit if you stager the activation of the cap boosters right

For pvp i liek to use 2 large solace reps witha couple of RCU II's in lows just for the extra repair range. I use remte repping rigs so cap is no problem.

Look at it this way: it's not a PVP setup. The point is to repair a lot of HP without running out of cap. Does it matter that he's using Cap Rechargers I as long as his deadspace faction remote reppers can run 24/7? Keeps the cost down if you ask me, which is a good thing :) --- High quality pics of ALL EVE ships! |

poking my head here in this post :) ( i like to see more logistics post visable )
I love my ony - its shiny and i can depend on it to really pump out the armor reps. The magic combo of the solaces, cap batt, recharger, relays works for me.
also seek the noble zet implant, thats a nice boost as well.

My setup:
High: 1 Large 'Solace' Remote Armor Repairer 3 Medium 'Solace' Remote Armor Repairer
Mid: 4 Cap Recharger II 1 Tracking Link II (cant fit ab, or I would)
Low: 1 Reactor Control Unit II 3 Beta Reaction Control: Capacitor Power Relay
It can run everything constantly if you stagger the reps. I don't use the faction due to the fitting requirements gimping my lowslots, and making it so you can't run it forever.
I don't think these will be any good in pvp unless you have more than one, or have a BS put 5 heavy armor drones on you. And even then...

Ok here goes, this still needs to be tested and run trough quickfit but I would like to hear your thoughts.
-highs Large solace x2, Med solace x2. -meds cap recharger t2 x3, tracking link t2, ab t2. -lows Damage control t2, active exp hardener t2, armor rep t2, general armor hardener t2.
-rigs Exp rig, cap recharger rig.
-drones Hammerhead t2 x5.
This set up will be used to support 1/2 gangmembers to add some more tank in lvl 4 missions. I might think up some setup for fleet support, but I think this one might be quite well suited for missions and fleet as it is.
Your thoughts?

Setup I have been using for L4 missions, supplying the tank for an Abaddon. One nice advantage that it has: it can pretty much tank most L4 itself, while never running out of Cap, even while running it's remote reps full time.

I ran L4 mission support in a domi. Rep drones of either choice with a link augmenter will go out to 45 k/m, almost as far as the logistic bonus. And the new patch brings Logistic drone IIs. Room winding down and you need to take out frigs? Use some small drones. 7 low slots means tons of cap recharge and a small tank, but it's still a battleship, you can run 2 armor reps with all that power recharge for a long time. highs can be NoS and reps, Nos/rep/tractor/salvage any/or/all. Still a battleship and no MWD in deadspace though. Also without bonuses, the transfer arrays have like an 8000m range It's not really better or worse, just different. For me though, about the same result with lots less skills. ===

humm... is it wise to go for the armour rig (reducing remote rep cap blah by 20%) and accept the speed penalty or should one just go for the same old cap rig (15% recharge)?

Edited by: VaderDSL on 20/07/2007 19:38:37 PvP Setup not used it yet, it is probably a horrendous setup though!!!
3 x Large Solace remote reps 1 x Cloak (yeah I know)
1 x 10mn MWD 2 x Shadow Serp Tracking Links (cheap) 2 x Medium Cap Injectors + 800
1 x 800mm plate 1 x Armor Explosive II 1 x EANM II 1 x RCU II
1 x Ancillary rig
Basically, I can run everything, when cap reaches 35% ish I fire the first cap injector, which fills the cap back up. When the cap falls to 35% again I fire the second, by the time it drops to 35% again the first has reloaded.
The MWD isn't really used, apart from perhaps getting in range quick, or to get back to a gate if needed.
Constructive criticism welmcome, I know it's probably a bad setup, and reliant on 800 charges, but I can get about 20 odd charges.
Should I just go all out and drop the armour stuf and simply fit speed mods?

If you're using speed as part of your tactics then it is a consideration, but the penalty can be negated by training up the appropriate skills.
Chances are that speed isn't the biggest consideration, and to that end having less cap used per repair cycle is going to benefit you a lot more than any speed loss you get from having the rig fitted.
It will also free up a low slot to fill with whatever you wish/can fit.

For general use.
Highslots: 4x Medium 'Solace' RARs Medslots: 1x T2 cap recharger, 3x T2 tracking links, 1x T2 medium cap battery Lowslots: 1x T2 medium repper, 3x energized plates
If I were to put rigs on, I'd slap on 1x explosive, and 1x CCC. Also, I think I actually have skills enough to change out the medium cap battery for a large cap battery. Possibly two of those instead of a cap recharger would increase my cap recharging.
The cap on the current setup won't go forever with everything on. Spread the 3x tracking links among allies, rep whoever is getting hit. If you're getting hit, allies should focus on killing that person while you rep yourself. With the resists you should be able to last long enough for allies to blow up anyone who can warp scramble you, and then you can warp out if you're still getting hit from range.
If you need to go fast, then there's something wrong. An AB is just a waste of space on this ship. You should be able to target and heal people 40-50km away, and the tracking links help people 50-65km away.
I have Logistics 5, Sensor Linking 5, Repair Systems 5, and RAR 5, so I heal 192 armor every 5 seconds for 22.125 energy, up to a range of 51km. The tracking link has a 66km range, increasing range by 1.34375x and tracking speed by 1.4375x for 15 energy. I self-rep 320 HP every 9 seconds for 160 energy.

Why put hammerheads on an oneiros? The one advantage it has over the guardian is the fact that it can carry 5 medium armor rep drones that potentially do 100% more armor repair than normal. Plus why are all these setups with medium and small remote reppers? You can fit 4 large armor reppers and still have enough PG left to fit an afterburner and an armor rep.

Looks like someone wanted a new Oneiros post, here you go.
Hislots 2x Large 'Solace' RARs 2x 'Pacifier' Large RARs
Medslots 4x Tracking Link II's 1x Medium Cap Batter II
Lowslots 2x Energized plates (fit with rigs of choice) 1x MAR II 1x Cap Power Relay II
Rigs Pick and choose. Remote Repair Augmentors help boost cap. Other armor rigs let you tank more (for small squads). Most of the "armor repair" boosters DO NOT HELP remote armor repairers, so those are a waste of time.
Drones 5x Medium repair drones

I am trying for this setup now. It seems like a nice lil way dish out of a lot of armor rep + have ability to tank yourself if you catch aggro.

Due to my current obsession with logistics and this ship, I think I have found the holy grain of all Oneiros set-ups. Warp in at 65, fly aligned and watch for drones, recons, inties. Reps 307hp/sec, or equivalent to about 6.8 Med Armor Repper IIs; each tracking link adds +44% tracking and +34% optimal, perfect for snipers and generally anything; drones can be used as a mini-med reppers to tank a bit with your good resists. Perfect for small gang action.
4 x Large "Solace" I Remote Reppers
2 x Tracking Link 2 1 x Sensor Booster II 1 x 10MN Afterburner II 1 x Medium Capacitor Battery II
1 x Capacitor Power Relay II 2 x Energized Reactive Membrane II 1 x EANM II
5 x Medium Armor Maintenance Drone II
2 x Remote Repair Augmentor Rigs
With maxed cap skills, Logistics V, Fuel Conserv. V, Remote Armor Reps V (and all of this is actually pretty feasible), this can be permarun, as shown in the screenshot below:
http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/4603/oneirosjn5.png
No need to keep afterburning though, so it's not that tight a fit. Now if you could only fit salvage with all of this If you have a sniper in your gang, it can go like this:
sniper__|80km|_you_|70km|_your blaster gang and your enemies
That way he gets both tracking and optimal bonuses (unless you want to give one to a T2 ammoed blaster boat that's being orbitted), protects you from anyone who gets too far out, and you can keep repping your gang. Then again, a 150mil fitted logistics is some pretty tempting loot.

Nice setup, but why 2 reactives? I would put 1 reactive and 1 damage control. No matter the situation it's a lifesaving item for me. I also like how you put large remote reppers on the thing. To me setups with medium remote reppers are blasphemy.
You CAN keep a ship that was made primary alive long enough for him to warp. With 5 medium Rep drones and all 4 of my large armor reps running constantly (1 CCC rig, cap rechargers, and a cap power relay helped with that), I bought him 30 seconds of life. Might not seem like much but when he has 30+ snipers pounding him its its good enough, especially for him to escape.

Yeah, fitting medium reppers IS ********, the ship loses it's purpose tbh. 2 Reactives are for the huge hole in explosive, I find it better tbh, also a DCU would kill the delicate cap balance :\ Repper drones I used to count into total repped amount, but I figured if the enemy figures them out, getting them back to you over 70km might be very difficult, and if they're expensive medium t2 drones...besides, they help you tank and you don't have to fit a med rep :D

For PvP I am going to try the following
High 3 Large 'Solace' RAR
Medium 1 ECCM - Magnetometric II 4 Cap Recharger II
Low 1 Medium Armor Repairer II 1 Explosive Hardener II 1 EANM II 1 800 MM Reinforced Steel Plates II
Rigs 1 Capacitor Control Circuit 1 Remote Repair Augmentor
5 Medium repair drones
For Solo PvE (Level 3's that I am currently doing)
High 2 Heavy Neutron Blaster II 1 Small Tractor Beam 1 Salvager
Medium 1 10MN AB II 1 Tracking Computer II 1 Target Painter 2 Cap Recharger II
The lows vary according to type of enemy. They all include at least 1 Medium Armor Repairer II. In most cases the 3 remaining slots are 2 tech 2 armor hardeners and a Magnetic Stabilizer II. Against NPC's that deal explosive damage I drop the target painter in the mid slots for an additional Cap Recharger II. In the lows I put 2 Medium Armor Repairer II, and 2 Explosive Armor Hardener II. Lastly for drones I use 5 hammerheads. The rigs I just leave the same as for PVP since swapping out rigs would be rather expensive. ---- Failed academic, short time pirate, currently contractor seeking to make the galaxy better for Gallente and Minamatar and worse for slavers. |

This is for running very hard missions, or for 10/10 complexes.
4 x Large Solace reps 5 x Capre II 4 x CPR II
This works with logistics lv 1, if you get lv 2 log, you can pull off a CPR and fit a DCU or something there.

Mission Runner Setup (lev 4 & lev 5 missions)
Highslots: 4x Large 'Solace' I Remote Bulkwark Reconstruction (better range then t2 large armor rep and same rep amount)
Medslots: 5x Cap recharger II
Lowslots: Medium Armor Repair II Armor Explosive Hardener II 2x Capacitor Power Relay II
Rigs: 2x Repair Remote Augmentor I (t2 better)
Drones: 2x Heavy Armor Maintenance Bot I (t2 better) [2 heavy rep better then 5x medium.. check the math you will see]
Implants: (Optional) Slot 7 - Inherent Implants 'Noble' ZET2000 (5% reduced capacitor need for remote armor repair system modules.)
Skills: Energy Management 4 (5 better) Energy Systems Operation 4 (5 better) Repair Drone Operation 3 (3 for t1, 5 for t2 - heavy bots) Remote Armor Repair Systems 4 (5 is better) Logistics 4 (5 is better)
Setup Stats: -1650 capacitor @ 46 sec recharge time (seems to be doing the trick just fine, btu can be improved with higher skills and implants.) -Large Solace with skills gives me 71km optimal range (plenty of distance to get lazy if you are dual boxing a armor rep alt like I am)
How to & Details: With the skills outlined as above (and no implant) I am able to run every single module listed here non stop! Just be sure to stagger your turn on times so you can properly run everything all at once. Being able to harden explosive dmg and have a t2 rep going non stop along with those 4 large remote reps. You will definitely notice your cap is down around 30-40% when everything is turned on... but it sustains and never goes lower. Those rigs play a big part of this (as well as skills of course). Its smarter to go with 2 remote repair augmentors then 1 remote rep aug and 1 ccc... so don't be tempted to mix it up.
Final Thoughts: I plan on taking every skill listed here to lev 5 just as gravy ontop but at this point I don't need to. Just be sure to go the extra mile and get everything t2 or faction (get large solace reps though) and of course have the base skills required to run this ship effectively. You will be amazed at the amount of rep you can pull off with this setup... you can take a beating and then some. Having a remote repper like this allows you to free up low slots on your main combat character to either go heavier resists or damage boosting mods) Some missions require heavy tank and I fit 80-90% resists on my main and that combined with this repper makes it utterly unbreakable.. even when you get EXTREMELY sloppy.. you can just pull right into the middle of everything and have it aggro you and they cant dent you at ALL (not that i recommend playing sloppy ever). The rest of the time I fit for extreme DPS and just don't worry about resists with this oneiros on back up. I get dented when i am low on resists but I live... with resists its like my armor is frozen at 100% with this oneiros on backup, doesn't even bounce into red at all (makes you feel like you have the cheat button turned on).
These ships can take a lot of time to train up for to be effective, but the Oneiros with 4 large solace going nonstop is a remote repair beast... WELL WORTH THE TIME!
Good luck!

Edited by: WardogX on 27/01/2008 23:05:42 I just wanted to add that I got my alt up to (level 5 logistics) and (level 5 remote armor rep) and (level 5 Energy Systems Operation) This was enough for me to throw out 3 cap rechargers and fit tracking links 2's and remote sensor boosters 2's. This new setup allows room for 2 cap rechargers on mid slots and still 2 CPR 2's on bottom and 1 armor rep and 1 hardener.
I can now run all of it non stop sustainable.. cap sits at around 45-52% but never goes below that with 4 large solace reps, 3 tracking link/remote sensor boosters (combo of your choice), 1 med armor rep, 1 explosive hardener.
I have pulled aggro from a few battleships on this alt now by accident (when those multi wave spawns pour in), but this tank on the oneiros seems to hold very well.
PS: I tried yanking 1 more cap and adding one more tracking link or remorte sensor but the cap cant sustain.. if you want 4-5 tracking links/remote sensors then you will need to yank out the rep and hardener and use CPR's... if you do that you need to be 100% precise with avoiding aggro (on multi wave spawns) it can become tricky. Especially when you you get more then 10 new rats that come in at one time.. since u cant target them all and pull aggro to you.. you will inevitably pull aggro at some point.
Good Luck... and I LOVE this logistic ship with skills fully trained.. it took a long time gettin that alt to this level.. but it feels like time well spent.. especially since now it can tank and rep and boost me.. and i use 5 hammerhead 2's in its drone bay for extra DPS now.. so it even has a nice sting to it :)
PS: Since they added t2 remote armor reps to game these do have quicker duration. However they are a lil heavy on Powergrid... if you have trouble fitting for it stick to the large solace reps.
