Is there a way to search these forums for answers you are looking for? I have yet to see a search option, so if anyone can tell me how to find what I am looking for without going through the 10 million posts one at a time.........................

They can make a game with plenty of complex database handling or whatever, but they cant knock up a simple database search for a website? eek.. i worry about future releases of Eve :P

Quite honestly, this is the first forum I've EVER seen which doesn't have a search function. Even phpBB has a search function

Yeah, it's pretty odd to see a forum without a search function in this day and age (especially given the wealth of information that gets posted on this forum on a daily basis).
But having said that I'm sure those nice chaps (and chappettes) would've already included a search function had it been a simple matter of writing a quick search routine.

Maybe they should hire the guy that built Eve-Search.
It must not be simple to build a search for your site, it must be less simple to build one from someone else's.

I code search functions for Quafe ;))
And to CCP, the talk about searching forums will lower the performance of TQ, mirror the forum db on a stand-alone server that handles the searches. That way it would not affect TQ at all. The mirror db only needs to return the thread ID anyway, which easily can be linked to the live db for the actual thread.
But hey until then - do use EVE-Search
