$14,95, i guess the 'almost 14k users' went to CCP's head.

I wanted this magasine and I thought what a great idea but then I saw how much you wanted us to pay for it. There is no way I would ever pay that sort of money for a a gamimg mag. Seriously I suspect the project will bomb at that price..... http://kos.killboard.net/

That's pretty much the same reason I'm not buying it. I even hesitate buying a ú6 mag these days,

Make it possible to order it over bank tranfer or something
not all have a credit card
or make a online version of it so you can pay for it through your suscription..
and the cover looks pretty cool

They could give the first year for free, and I wouldn't subscribe. I'm sure its excellent, but in my opinion, that price is crazy (as with most Eve schwag).
If you want to keep something, lock it up. Do NOT flush it out of your cargohold into empty space and expect to keep it. |

I posted this statment in the other E-ON thread, and am re-posting here. Hopefully, this will shed some light on the expense. -------------------------------------- To the various players taking issue with the price, please remember one thing. CCP is a small company and at this point, we do not have the same leverage with product and pricing that other companies (NCsoft, Sony, EA) enjoy. So, when we go to an external source for items (FanFest flight tickets, magazine pricing, etc.) we can negotiate pricing with them, to a degree. In the end, we get the best deal we can for the players. The price per issue for E-ON may be high, but it is the lowest price we could negotiate with the publisher.

I dont consider 14.95$ expensive. When i have to pay 30$ for UK version of PC gamer here in norway, now thats fraud. But hey they import it here, they can sell it for whatever they wish. I just subscribe directly ;)

Sorry, no, not at the moment. In my view that defeats the whole object of the excercise of owning something 'real'. But then I'm a big fan of magazines - just don't tell my wife that

Cos some of us won't pay it. I understand CCP's problems with the pricing, but it WILL cost sales. An electronic version WOULD seem to be the answer, to me. Sure, make it a month after the print version goes out.

unlikely, once someone has a pdf, it wont take long to host it and then everyone gets to read it for free making it an exercise in futility at trying to meet costs. Ok it is likely someone will host the collectors copy anyway undoubtly but not has self-destructive as a downloadable copy.
