I've done over 50 missions for my level 1 agent and he hasnt given me any new contacts. I'm at 4.2 with him and 650'ish loyalty points. I fly a cruiser and doing his missions has been a boring and chanllengless grind so far. = /

Here, a couple posts down, still on the first page.
You have to search for agents, they're not "given" to you.
Each agent has a requirement to talk to him, shown if you right-click and show info. What matters is the standing you have vs. the agent's corp, or the standing you have vs. the agent's nation, whichever is higher.
Find another corporation, and another agent in that corporation.

If you have no lvl 2 agents available train "Connections" to increase your standing.

thanks, and I did do that after your post and it helped me find new agents but they remain unavailable to me. however, i've just checked the requirements and i realise that i'm not up to par to talk to the ones i want to, so i'm running missions for the Navy to try and improve that.
