Like the title says i wonder if it is possible to run 2 clients at the same time on 1 computer !? not talking about ISBoxer and stuff like that ! |

Yes you can run as many clients as your computer can handle and alt-tab yourself to death...I run 2 alot of the time... |

I've run 4 on a reasonable dual-screen rig.
Just press Play multiple times in the launcher. You'll need an account (not pilot) for each instance of course. You might also need to drop your resolution/graphics settings.

Sure, but be aware that you need two accounts for that. You can't log into two characters on the same account at the same time.

Well, I would like to add to the question, because I have difficulties running two accounts at once. I have one main account and one trial account. I hit PLAY button twice, so I have two games started. I log in on my main account in one game and try to log in on my trial account in the second game, but I get the message that CCP apreciate my will to play on more than one account at once, but it's not possible (it wasn't the exact quote, but same in meaning). Am I doing something wrong? Or maybe I can't run two accounts at once while one is in trial stage? |

You can't run a paid and a trial account together, nor two trials. You can run two or more paid accounts at the same time. |

I'd suggest, if you do end up running multiple clients, you use the 'fixed window' mode, rather than full screen.
Handles switching far better. Also handy if you have multiple screens, as they can all be active at the same time.
If you want to maintain settings seperately for each, I'd recommed the junction method from here: http://wiki.eveonline.com/wiki/Multiple_clients
It allows you to have one client install, but have it appear as multiple. Just needs to be updated once.

If I may piggyback this thread:
Could anyone post what sort of hardware is needed to run two clients/accounts with good performance, or give a estimate of this gear? I currently get 60-70fps at 1920*1080 with the graphics options maxed and I would hope it's enough.
AMD FX-6100
8G ram
Gigabyte HD7870 GHz edition
And one more, would EVE benefit from being on an SSD over a HDD? |

You don't even need 2 installations, you can run them from the same install directory.

The best advice I can give any Eve player, new or old, is to never ever ever read the general discussion subforum. It is a cancer on this game and should just be deleted. |

Got any actual links? All I remember ever seeing on this issue is, that there are a little over 2 characters per account. Never seen accounts per player info anywhere, so please link it, if you have got to offer something besides vague impressions. |
