I come out of a jump gate and see Ceti, the CEO of Red Back - and a known can raider - in a shuttle about to jump in the opposite direction. I proceed to lock on and activate all 5 heavy launchers...and AP warp to stargate. In my excitement I had forgotten to turn off the AP :P Of course, when I finally came out of warp, turned off AP, and warped back to the gate at which I saw Ceti, he was long gone. I roll out my uber n00b maller with my uber 61k gunnery skills, and tear him a new hole in his anatomy. Unfortunatly I did not have a warp scram fitted so he ran off. :( The next time I saw him was about a week or so later, with a corpmate of his. After watching a movie while they camped me in station, I noticed TjanitN had logged off.. so I poked my nose outside in my Maller... his corpmate ran away saying I was in a battleship and would not come back :( I hope the several weeks of war you have paid for are worth it, 3 encounters in 3+ weeks? So sad :( Silly rabbit, sigs are for kids

So sad :( And your point is? I'm a newb? I already said that. You were able to uber tank your Maller so that while I dealt 160% the damage that you did, I had to warp away with 50% armor? My corp is badly named? While pronunciation may be a bit awkward, If you understood that like Don Quixote, We fight against all odds for what we believe is righteous, you would understand the corp's title. That we are a very small corp and 12 hrs seperated from yours so that we arent able to battle as effectively as we would like? Do you have a point at all? And yes, the 1mil per week profit we make on this contract is worth the experience we are gaining. How many merc corps actually make a profit on their very first contract? Yes, the profit is low, because of newb pricing, but then that too is a valuable lesson we never would have learned without this contract. So, yeah. It has been very much worth it. And for the record, you wont find any mention of the first encounter on these forums by me until Svett brought it up and I replied to her vague renderring and inaccurate presentation of the facts. Did I warp away? Yes. Did I lose? Yes. Was I totally pwned? No. Did she "rip a new hole in my anatomy? No, I did 160% damage as she did. She was just better equipped to take it. Also, remember this is not some 2nd or 3rd account for me. This is my first account. P.S> No, I lost it and three others, all in different lvl3 missions, all after the patch, before I figured out that I wasnt ready to fly a Ferox yet. But now I have my missile skills up a tad, so I am thinking about stepping back into one as soon as I can afford it. Getting my corp going has been a big ISK sink for me, but I am starting to come back out of the hole now. Maybe in a week or three I'll have a new Fear Rocks for you to ransom. Funny thing about that day in Mara though...and I havent told anyone else this 'till now...when you convoed me asking for 15mil I about P'ed my pants. I only had 14.99mil. Then that last NPC popped.
