Here are a few of the set ups I have been playing with and the retribution has been more to my style eventho I really really love the Wolf I can't figure out a good plate set up I like since I can't figure out how alot of people are fitting t2 280s and 400MM plates at the same time and have a decent tanks.
P.S. Drunkenone if you read this please give me tips if your not to busy with Siim's mom.

Just a question... u have 3 those MAPC or just one that is changing ships :)?
Nothing to comment about wolf, except that i'd put passive kin. hardener instead of nano. Or even better, dmg mod.
About retribution: 1. no web, even pulses don't hit intys. 2. only good way to use that ship is gank, then even minmater AFs should fear u.
That's just my opinion though, because if u plan to use retri in frig fleet, then it is fine.

Edited by: Apoll on 26/08/2005 10:35:30 Regarding the retribution drop the MAPC, and the 400mm plating.
4 med pulses T2, AB, Armor rep t2, 1 adaptive plating, 1 regenerative plating/membrane, 1 HS T2 and the last either CPR or 2nd HS T2 if you have good skills in power related.
Use Xrays, Gamma to use less cap to keep the armor rep always on. You need Adv Wep Upgrades 3 to fit. Or else Put on 5hth low PDS.
For beams use
4 Medium T2 Beams Ab Small Accomodation armor rep - Adaptive plating - what ever either HS or plating or tracking enhacer - HS T2 - Vigor MAPC.

You need Adv Wep Upgrades 4 on the Beam setup. And a cheap implant will allow you to squeze T2 armor rep.

I fit my retribution like this:
High Slots: 4x Med pulse II
Med Slots: 1x 1mn ab II
Low Slots: 1x Small armor rep II 1x Active Thermal hardenr 2x Heat sink II's 1x cap relay
Works a charm, i can run the rep, hardener and AB forever and with the guns going it only drains by a small amount.
I use my retribution to solo lvl3 missions atm, never tried it in PvP but the tank is great.

no way that will fit cpu wise, I normaly run the same sept one less HS2 and one more CPR.
I have another setup that I use whe I really want to tank but I dont want to give that out on the forums

I can only comment on the retribution setup. One of my rules in solo PVP is to always be able to hit to 20km so some lone crow doesn't come and kill you...the alternate to that is to be able to tank that long range inty. Since you can tank it just fine I'd drop down to dual light pulse II's. Much more DOT, easier to hit close range intys (if you can't hit a inty at 1km orbiting at 4km/s with pulses you need better skills, not a webber). So here's my suggestion for the retribution:
High: 4 dual light pulse II Med: 1 AB (TII, gisti, etc) Low: 1 MAPC (you shouldn't need named), 1 TII small armor rep, 1 400mm tung, 1 adaptive nano, 1 thermal hardener (since you have the much improved DOT of pulses you can drop the HSII and increase your tank by a LOT)
With this setup you can have EVERYTHING (including the hardener and adaptive nano) TII with no fitting problems. So the only TI standard item you will have on this ship is the MAPC.
With this setup you have:
DPS: 128 Armor: Over 1800 Resists: 68, 84, 70, 72
With your setup you have:
DPS: 132 Armor: Over 1800 Resists: 66, 83, 68, 45
Now, you drop a very small ammount in DPS to greatly increase your tank, and you gain the ability to counter a close range inty attack (which your dual light beam's can't do). It's a little more skill intinsive (because of the TII hardener/nano), but it's a much cheaper setup than with the gisti AB and that uber named MAPC (wich is almost ir-replacable). And if you have advanced weapons upgrades trained up you can even look at fitting that last high slot with a micro sb for that extra little DPS or defense against rockets/light missiles.

Oh, and in reply to the guy that said to go full gank....it's a very good option. My NPC apoc setup uses 7 megapulse (no weapon mods). With 7 standard TI megapulse and every gunnery skill at lev 4 you get 236dps. With the retribution and dual light pulse II's, 4 HS II's and assult frig skill lev 4 you get 229dps.........yes, every assult frig should fear you (if they get in multifreak range). Actually you can overcome any BS tank that has 1 standard thermal armor hardener and 1 TII large armor rep (the common setup). A dual large TII armor rep wouldn't die unless it ran out of cap. And a TII large + TII med armor rep tank would just laugh at you as no ship has any problem of running that tank.
This setup would ONLY work with weapons upgrades 5 and advanced weapons upgraded 4 (so you can actually fit the mid slot). But drop down to 3 TII HS and you can fit the ship fine, and you only drop to 210dps...still great.
