Edited by: Deja Thoris on 26/08/2005 11:28:11 Nice info.
I thought the conventional wisdom was to use explosive dmg against angels.
Edit.
What about rogue drones?

Nice guide. Though, for merc's thermal usually works better than exp.

Check out Mindblowers "NPC Slaughtering Guide", there you have 833 known rats listed and most of all weapons to be used against them. Problem is I can't seem to find where I downloaded it... Maybe Eve-mail Mindblower ingame?

Yeah, this is correct in most cases. But for angels and others that do all sort of damage types, if its the first time I've done the mission or faced those type of rats I usually look up their stats on http://evegames.hostingbig.com/eve/data/index.html (quicker, easier to read then eve-i I think). I'm amarr so I don't really bother with their resists, just what hardeners to use against them. For a general reference I use http://www.evegeek.com/ship_damage.php.
All they've done is add up the damage types from the different factions then shown the number as a percentage. Sometimes, like in the case of angels, in general they do mostly exp with even amounts of em/kin, but at high level (aka 250k+ bounty) they do mostly exp/kin damage. What's good about the evegeek site is they calculated in things like the damage done from missiles as well (like in the case of mercenaries, who do em/therm but some use kin/exp missiles).
It's not perfect, and can lead to using a hardener that doesn't help at all in a mission, but using them together gets the best results out of hardeners.

It is, thermal stinks against angel BS's, if you run out of explosive in a 5 system radius then go kinetic.
Rouge drones needs most types as there are some that laser you, and the rest is kinetic and thermal.
