It's summer and the living is easy. Time to change that.
We have some very talented videomakers here and it's you I'm speaking to. Yes you there. The challenge is a different kind of video. Not to entertain, or to impress your enemies with nor to show off your new ship.
We have all kinds of guides located on the forum, all are written and some have a screenie here and there. What would be ideal is a video that can teach or aid people in pvp. A lot of the more experienced pvpers refer to this forum when people want to see what pvp is like and how to get started.
My suggestion is to build from there and create a video made to teach someone a few things about pvp or piracy ( in a friendly way that doesn't involve them losing a ship straight away).
Naturally you can add messages into the video that range from recruiting for your corporation to commercials for Quafe or Vitoc, it doesn't have to be all serious but must have at least a useful lesson when it comes to pvp or piracy.
Your target audience can either be victims of piracy and how to avoid pirates or fight them off, or starting pirates.
What you get from this? Everlasting fame, my gratitude and you have something to keep you off the streets Wink

I was actually planning to do small informal and funny instruction videos for internal corp usage a while ago, but lack of time and too many other projects has kinda prevented it.
Looking forward to see what others will be able to produce though

I would squeal like a piggy if someone could produce a PvP vid in the style of one of those 50's infomercials.
T: "But daddy, why doesn't the pirate just fit warp core stabilisers. That way he could run away at the first sign of trouble."
D: "Well Timmy, warp core stabilisers although useful, mean that pilots cannot fit other modules capable of increasing their overall damage."

thats genius. VHI is now making a fallout into-type film instead.

Not a bad vid, however once you blew up the phoon I noticed your targetting reflexes need some tightening up. I would have started locking the pod immediately then primed the target painter and the nos, then hit him up with the webber as soon as I got within range.
Overall not bad though, BTW it looked like you tried to do a ctrl+left click to lock on the pod initially, be advised that ctrl+left click does not work when trying to lock onto pods.

According to the info of said item, it helps increase accuacy. I was told it can help alot when using missiles on smaller/faster targets, but haven't noticed.

That's a nice one Sly Panther.
I love the idea of introductionary videos made by the players - the first time I've seen this was on planetside, I think it was how to secure a control tower as terran. Will there be a new video section added for these teaching videos? ^^

I think it depends on how many videos there are made. If its enough to get a new section there is a chance.

Well, my idea for this is a 20-second static shot of a station interior, followed by a 20-second shot of the logoff window, followed by a similar screenie of the account management page with "cancel subscription" highlighted.
After all, when someone is encouraged, by the GMs, to podkill over 20 people he has never met, ruthlessly exploiting a game mechanic to avoid significant personal loss, simply because he is bored and has nothing better to do, in supposedly the second-safest type of system in the game, then the approach in the movie I suggest is the only realistic option.
