So even if the players manage to kill one, if the Gallente do not get a decisive victory there could still be a Titan in space by Caldari Prime at the end. Everyone is jumping to assumptions (in classic Eve fashion). It's probably the most likely outcome if players don't intervene at all. But Players can change the outcome.

Want miners to move from high sec to null sec? Then give them a reason to join player corps, and stop null sec grav sites being worth less isk/hour than high sec asteroid belts. Really isn't difficult.

I'd also bet another 100 that they've got a couple different scripts ready to go depending on the outcome of the battles. So yeah, live events are scripted. I find that without a good mob to provide one for them, most people would have no mentality at all.
