I have just started a new game because my previous and first character for some reason when i was playing the tutorial it just stopped after i jettisoned the ore i mined. This time i made it past that part and up to when you have to incapacitate the drone or knock it out so you can scoop it into your drone bay. Ok i knocked the thing out and go to scoop it up as the tutorial said to do, but my ship says i am not capable of scooping up a combat drone, i am in the tutorial and tried to scoop it into thr drone bay and cargo hold, but niether worked it still said the same thing! Please to anyone that reads this i would appreciate any help.

I had the same problem, however, I simply relogged and the space tutorial was gone....not completed, just gone. I still didn't have the drone but the insurance ship was not there and no text was on the screen. If relogging doesn't work, try closing the window containing the text of the tutorial (the little X in the top right of the text window). This should bring up a window asking if you are sure you want to abort the tutorial.
NExt, warp and dock at the station. HOW?? Look in the top left hand corner of the screen, just to the left of the solarsystem name and you should see 4 or 5 horizontal bars...they are small. Anyway, right click and it will show you the Asteroid Belts, Jumpgates, Stations, Planets and Suns. Select Stations then select warp to. When you reach the station right click and select dock and you will dock....just be patient. If it doesn't dock after awhile...sometimes a full 5 minutes, re-request the dock.
When the tutorial in the station starts, simply cancel it like the one in space...detailed above. Why?? Well, unless you get the drone from space, you wont be able to complete this tutorial either.

I had the same problem also. You can complete the station tutorial without the drone. Just ask around people will help you get started.

I managed to avoid the tutorials, but i don't know how. I got to the station and it told me to reprocess ore i didn't have so i skipped it.

I just finished installing eve last night and sat down to have what I thought would be a nice long session playing eve, but just like you guyz, I couldnt even finish the tutorial, WTG.
I cannot beleive after so many complaints this is STILL a bug OMG. Well if the tutorial doesn't work then kinda makes you think about how badly programmed the rest of the game is going to be.

Blimey - Astonished to say the least that this bug is in the tutorial.
Within the Support section (search on Tutorials) is the full text and details of the tutorial if you cant complete a section.
All very frustrating and to agree with the comments of the previous post - does not bode well for the game in general.

Just shoot down the drone and continue to the next station.
