Electus Matari, a new corporate alliance within the Minmatar Republic
At the end of its last legislative session Parliament appointed a special commission to study the readiness of the RepublicÆs private sector to mobilize in response to war and other international crises. Given the ôThukker situationö and the collapse of major jump gate highways, there was concern about the RepublicÆs ability to maintain a strong and flexible industrial infrastructure. After a six-month investigation the Commission for Strategic Security delivered a report to Parliament which remains largely confidential. What the commission has done publicly is to encourage the most loyal corporations of the Minmatar military industrial complex to form an alliance.
The purpose of this new alliance is to strengthen the private sectorÆs ability to act rapidly in support of the RepublicÆs security interests. The alliance, named Electus Matari, is chartered to pursue the following goals:
1) Provide industrial and logistical support to Republic Fleet and Republic Security Services.
2) Actively defend the citizens, assets, and territory of the Minmatar Republic from all threats internal and external.
3) Support the human rights and liberties of all Matari including those currently living in foreign captivity.
Nine corporations have already been chosen to form the nucleus of Electus Matari. The participation of these corporations is entirely voluntary. Other corporations may be invited to join Electus Matari in the future.
As political tensions seem to be on the rise within every arm of the galaxy it is only prudent that the Minmatar Republic prepares for the worst even as it strives to maintain the peace. Electus Matari will work to ensure that the Republic may depend on a strong industrial base in times of crisis. Citizens may rest assured that should the present cold war turn hot, the Republic Fleet will have all of the support it requires to fulfill its obligations.

Maze was troubled. He frowned as he re-read the report. Some of these pilots had proved worthy opponents in the conflicts spawned by the 'Insorum Imbroglio'. This new alliance was a threat to be taken seriously.

Interesting, I have a simple question.
Does Electus Matari support Terrorism? I dont mean idealogically supporting the concept of 'freedom' I already know the answer to that as you have stated it clearly in your initial post. Rather my question is whether you support mass murder and actively attacking against the wishes of the republic you support?
In essence should you be considered loyalists of the republic, and therefor at peace with the Holy Amarran Empire, or are you another crop of mass murdering rebels as dangerous to your own republic as to the empire?
I await your responce, and hope that your answer is one that will not lead to pointless bloodshed. If that is the case, then I wish you luck.

Although some would like to think and say otherwise, I can confirm that the Electus Matari are not a terrorist organisation and are not using the Republic to mask their work.
We believe in freedom and the right for every living person to choose their path in life.
But I would like to point out that we believe in our ideals so strongly, that we will fight for them where needed. Once all other avenues have been exhausted, we will turn to arms should it be deemed appropriate.
This is the right that Concorde gives any corporation who see no other way to settle an ongoing dispute.
We do not do out talking in the language of violence, but should language fail us, then we are very capable of defending our ideals and the Republic.

If you truely do not support the actions of the terrorist rebels of the Ushra Khan. Then I wish you luck.
I understand that it is possible your heathen Republic and the Amarran Empire will come to blows in the future, but the simple fact is that at this time neither the Empire or the Republic endorses violence as a means of continueing their struggle.
Therefor as long as peace holds, and as long as you truely do not lend your efforts in aid of the loose cannons rebelling against the republic that the Matari terrorist 'Freedom Fighters' represent I can assure you that your pilots are safe from mine.
Of course, should I hear of any material attacks on Amarr from your people, that would change the attitude towards your group entirely.
