Do you ever look at some character portraits and say to yourself, "What was that person thinking? That avatar is butt-ugly." Well there is a reason for it.
In real life, most painters, artists, etc always put a little of themselves into the people they paint. It's done on an unconscience level. Since people are use to looking at themselves in mirrors, when they create, they add a little of themselves to it because they think they themselves look normal. Understand what I'm saying here?
Bottom line is when you look at a portrait in EVE, you're kinda looking at the person sitting behind the computer playing that character. It's not an exact match obviously but it's close.
I'm just saying this so that the next time you see a portrait of a character that is butt-ugly, you'll know why.
Yes, I know my avatar is but-ugly.

LOL :) that's very true. I went to art school and doing portraits can be tricky. You have to make sure every detail you draw is from pure observation. If you don't, sometimes you will add features that resemble yours. Most likely the nose, ears and eyes.

Well I haven't got grey hair yet...and my avatar is a lot skinnier than me...
We do both have blue eyes tho!

Well, anyway, i think i managed pretty good with my, however the nicest by far ive seen is Lola¦s, its flawless, a true piece of art. I want it!

Ehehe. I'd bet 75% of the people using female chars isn't female IRL. At least I know lots of people using them while they're really male.  |

my avatar looks relatively close to me...except the eyes, I have no idea why i left them that way
