An alt I made for science jobs is floating around their (lowsec) home when they see something potentially tasty on D-scan. A mining barge.
I quickly discern which belt the barge is in, and deliver a ransom demand, somehow forgetting that I'm in a mere Catalyst with very, very low skills. (After all, this character has been training things like Advanced Lab Operation over combat skills).
I warp scram the Skiff, start firing on it, and ask for a ransom. Then suddenly I realise - I can't even come close to tanking the drone damage I'm taking. Embarassed, I warp out with a small amount of structure damage. The skiff is still at 85% shields.

This, I didn't have a chance. A low meta armor repairer as the only tanking module is fine for the rats in lowsec, but not for human rats.
Plus I was really off guard because I drastically misjudged the damage I'd be taking.
Anyways, it's all fun and games. Losing a fight is often more fun than winning one - especially when you lose nothing, learn something and can laugh at yourself afterwards.
