There are plenty of players in FW getting small gang fights and solo PVP because they go out and look for it.
If you joined the militia NPC corp and put and x in the Militia channel for fleet then all you're going to get for PVP is blobtastic kitchen sink fleets.
Join a Player FW PVP corp that focuses on small gang and skirmish PVP and go kill people while making stacks of ISK.
this, fw chat fleets are fun if you are completely alone and are a complete newb into fw. and the whole spy thing is bs, unless you are trying to join a large fw alliance, of which there aren't many, no one will care about your background. mainly because there aren't any assets to lose. stations cant be lost, fleets can be awoxed but its rare to see anything bigger than cruisers. (on fleet) and most POSes are small, to be used only as safes, and they are up a weekend at most. if the pass goes public hardly anyone will care.
anyway your problem is doing FW alone is doing FW wrong, don't think that by clicking the "enlist me" button you joined the militia.
and about the LP farmers.... there's a reason why the militia window is under the business tab. because its supposed to be used to make money, while having some danger. and warzone control is an objective because it increases the isk making capabilities of, guess what, lp farming. |

The whole spy thing is hardly BS. . . I know many people that have alts in both militias joining opposing fleets to get intel on it.
And also I have had spy tactics used on me. A spy would farm a plex, when the Plex is about to be captured they warp in their opposing militia alt and either kill you with both their two characters, or they chase you off the PLEX and capture all the LP themselves. You can't shoot back as you will take a standing hit as their in your militia.
There is a reason why possibly the most used response in militia chat is "SPAI" :) |

so basically what you are saying is ...
if you click the enlist me option in the FW tab , you are basically joining a band of unorganized farmers and AWOXERS who aren't there for the pvp fun , but are mostly there for the farming ...
FW is the introductory to null sec pvp and if you want to FW seriously , you should join an alliance specifically for that?

No.
Joining the FW militia corp is a useful first step. But from there you will need to do some work to prove yourself different from the farmers and awoxers. From there you can either formally join a FW corp, or simply rely on contacts you've built up to get yourself into fleets on an ad hoc basis.
I personally don't subscribe to idea of FW being an introduction to nullsec pvp, anymore than drinking beer is an introduction to drinking toilet bleach. To each their own. |
