There has been 2 contests, one Deviant art and one CCP hosted named design your own space-ship. First prize was that your ship would be made "real" inside EVE forever.
It has since been about a year since the end of the first contest. Where the **** are the ships? And why are you guys making digital fashion show with the skeleton looking dude and not making more space-ships?
WTF?????

P.S. @ CCP Cascade and the Core Infrastructure team, Are we in the process of getting the Art department what they need to "re-skin" the stations, capital and super capital ships? iirc CSM found out that the current in-house software could not handle the new larger sized models.... |

They have to follow a long development path to ensure quality.
1. Half A$$ a Contest as a PR Stunt.
2. Make a new contest when people call on you.
3. Declare a Winner.
4. Make new ship a Priority #1 Project.
5. Bump it down the list do to market research.
6. Quietly remove it from the Development Schedule and tell no one
7. Get called out for the lack of progress.
8. Promise it 2 expansions from now and hope everyone forgets.
9. Realize no one forgot and they are angry.
10. Involve the community by saying the CSM's discussed it and there is a NDA or have a panel at Fanfest and feign a schedule error.
11. Apologize on the forums and have a thread dedicated to idea's. Three Dev Posts on the first page, 2 on pages 2-3 and 1 for every 3 pages. Stop caring at page 12.
12. Hope it goes away.
Come on this is standard CCP Development 101.

I can't imagine what i'd do if someone said that about me to my face. I'd probably just walk away and never speak to them again.
Must be nice being able to say things like that without feeling ashamed.

You probably broke a NDA with this copy and past job from CCPs employee handbook. |

I did not ask for an excuse as to why it's not in the game after 1 year.
I asked where is it?
TBH the "Devs answer every question" thread is a joke because past history has shown that they say and promises a lot but deliver little or plans change daily.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not pissed at the devs. I'm sure if they had their way, they would make good on what they say. At the end of the day, it is management's fault.
So, Talk is cheep, we want action! Where is our Tornado.
If nothing else, get a model up in Sisi, art department can keep the textures for now. Let us, at least, start balancing this damn thing like you did with the T3 ships a while back. |
