Almost impossible to compare. Missions are an easy isk/hr that you can calculate
Lowsec anoms are going to be highly dependent on spawns and lowsec traffic etc.
Overall I'd say missions are going to be a steadier source of isk.

You have to try it out but as said above lowsec is far more unpredictable, you wouldn't really be able to fly a pimp ship so you'll have to stick to something that you're willing to lose, and you'll eventually lose your ship (or alot of income if you just dock up when someone enters the system) so you have to take that into account on top of traffic, spawns etc.
but part of the fun of Eve is trying it out, let us know how it goes. |

Anomalies or complex sites that you need to scan down? I don't think you can get alot of money with the normal anomalies.
Level4 mission and exploration should be fine. In a 0.5 system you can make 60k lp with one macha, so i gues in a 0.2 system or something like that it would be even better. German blog about smallscale lowsec pvp: http://friendsofharassment.wordpress.com |

I've made about 3 times more isk/hour in lowsec in lvl3-4's than lvl4's in highsec. |

Lowsec anomalies are not worth your time. Proper exploration (including combat sites) can make you a very large ammount of isk in no time if you are lucky.
Lucky being the keyword here, since that is largely dependent on activity in the region, site respawns (unknown mechanics, anyone?), etc.
Properly run lvl4 missions can yield a lot of steady isk/hour, as with anything PvE related: the more you invest (properly fitted faction BS or T3) the more you will get in return.
For doing combat sites in lowsec you will need a properly fit T3 or an Ishtrar or Gila with sentry drones so the investment should be roughly the same.
Yes you can run some of the sites in a T2 fit battlecruiser, but you can also run lvl4 missions in a T2 fit raven. Neither will be effective and even running lowsec radars/mag sites only in a cheapfit T1 cruiser with drones will make more if you're at least semi-competent at what you're doing.
Anomalies are just meh though, they're only worth it in a decent truesec 0.0 system. |

Only time lowsec missions are better for a solo player is if you join FW and run them in a bomber :). level 5's not taken into account as I have not had the pleasure of doing those yet. Oh PLEASE!!! CCP Fozzie Can I haz a Navy moa....... |

Ok seeing as you might be going through the trouble of going into low sec, you should really think about hunting down signatures. Particularly mag and radar sites. I make on average 150mil isk a day by taking an arbitrator through low sec and blitzing radars and mags, literally clearing entire constellations of these sites. |

Becouse in the past they were pointless( low and high sec).

I believe he said "steady".
You can pretty much count on "X" amount of isk in a given time, and you can be sure of making that every single hour. Sure it isn't a profound amount, but "steady" is the operative word here. You can't say the same for exploration....

Hard to gauge exploration on an ISK/hr basis. You can often og days or even weeks with only mediocre returns, then get a super rare drop worth billions. Or you could get really good drops 3-4 sites in a row. If you maintained a spread sheet of the time you spent doing exploration, and the income you got from it, the average isk/hr would change every day. Maybe after 6 months to a year it would start to balance out.
It is all random, you can get lucky on day one, or you can go weeks with out any good drops. Mission running is like working a job, you know what you will get paid at the end of the week according to the hours worked. Exploration is like treasure hunting. You can go broke waiting for that big score, or you can strike it rich finding great stuff nearly every time you go out.
My advice is make some sacrifices to BOB, the God of random numbers, many W-space dwellers have come to worship, and hope he blesses you with good drops.
Exploration is a lot of fun, and can be a good distraction from constantly running level 4 missions. But it can not be described in an isk/hr like missions running can. |

You might want to try WH daytripping as an alternative, Sleeper sites can be very profitable and WHs are abundant, you have to be on the ball and mash dscan every 5 seconds but same goes for lowsec. |
