The discription says.
"A basic mining laser for deep core mining ore such as mercoxite. Very inefficient but does get the job done ... eventually"
Can you deap mine on any astroid or is it limited to certain roids ? Is Mercoxite a type of astroid and thats why I'm so confused ?
Thought I'd ask to deside if Mining V is worth the time for me now or not...

Different Mining Lasers/Focusing Crystals for different 'roids. And you can deep mine most (if not all) Asteroids with the right equipment. THere's also a process known as 'strip mining', which involves warping into a gate and completely mining out all of a certain kind of asteroid in that belt.

So then I should be able to use Deep Core Mining lasers in a .9 , and get different results then with my Miner II's ? Like get differnt ores from Plagioclase with Deep Core Mining Lasers ? |

You won't get different ores from Plagio, because the ores you've gotten already are all it has. Difference is you'll get more, faster. But Honestly, Deep Core Mining Lasers are better used in lower sec space, becase the 'roids there are just plain more profitable. .9 might be a lot safer, but the going is also a lot slower.

Deep core mining lasers are only useful for mining mercoxite in deep 0.0 systems.
Modulated Deep Core Mining Laser2s can fit mining crystals & can mine all ore sorts better than mining laser2s. But you need to have refining V, refining efficiency V & specialised ore porcessing skills to use the frequency crystals.
When you can use Modulated Strip Miner2s & the tech2 mining crystals then you can really strip a bely very quickly - fill a 27.5K m3 can in less than 30mins

Nope, the trick is that some stuff like mercoxite can only be found out in 0.0 and can not be extracted with normal lasers, thus the deep core mining lasers.
You will not get diffrent types of minerals when you deep core mine any astroid you will get veld or scordite or what ever else that astroid will yield. The only thing is that the deep core miners will give you a smaller return than the miner II's.
So a simple advise go for miner II's till you have enough ISK so afford an excursion into 0.0

Deep core miners with T2 crystals offer an 18% (ish) increase in m3 per minute over standard Miner II lasers.
tbh, i'd go for large barge in secure space and work up to modulated strip miners.
with 3 modulated strip lasers and some drones, you'll fill a jet can in 15-20 minutes by yourself...
