I don't know who did this or how it was done, but it is defenetly impressive, I'm guessing it's some kind of bug. In any case, the lights (mines? torps?) were not moving.

Nah, probes. Missiles would be moving. Probes are stationary but do glow nicely like that.

Edited by: anister on 29/08/2005 11:41:12 Looks like whats happened is...
2 ships, one flying in a straight line up or down and a ship with a probe launcher orbiting him at close range releasing probes as he goes.
tada, mulder would be proud.
*edit, posted at exactly the same time as the explanation above. ___

Edited by: Yzman Shhan on 29/08/2005 11:48:25 Closer they looked like rockets, and they were in space for at least 45 minutes. I had a couple of peaks if they'd disappear but they didn't. I'll see if I have a better screenie up close..
Edit: Here's the screenie up close to one of em: clicky
Sorry about the size of the piccy but cba to resize it.

They are definitely torps, you can see the different types.

Ive see nthis at a gate in 0.0 think its some kind of bug, where the missiles just hang around for hours after the time they were launched, i was flying though 0.0 and say a ton of missiles just stat stationary by the gate.
I figured someone had just had a fight and then jumped throught the gate, but when i carried on my way, there was like nobody around, and nobody had passed me, so i figured someone got podded and someone logged, but i cam back about two hours later, and the same missiles were still there, im guessing they were there till downtime?
But whoever took this screenshot knows how to reproduce this bug and made some pretty patterns with the missiles. Heavy NOS 4tw! |

It looks like someone got creative with the missile bug that was leaving torps and cruise missiles sitting in space without moving once they were fired. -Wrayeth

Some of my friends travelling through different regions have seen this, especially in Jita. No idea what causes it though.

I'm guessing its quantum instabilities in the sub space folding of bi polar plank space causing tachyonic sub particles to harmonies in response to interference patterns caused by intermeshing bane space layers.
The light show is said tachyonic particles colliding with normal space time neutrino fluctuations breaking down into co laminar electromagnetic harmonized standing wavefronts causing the spots of light that we see.
The corkscrew effect is caused by the mass energy manipulation of the standing Bose Higgson field causing larger magnetic fields to become tertiary aligned to the macro quantum rotation of the bane fold line.
There, happy now

RnD Guy, did you do that in Fade (i think this station was in or close to C4C)? If not, the mistery continues!
