Anyone have any suggestions on which mineral will yeild the most profit? I've been mining Concentrated Veld. the last few weeks to build a Raven. Only problem is I will need an incredible amount of trit to sell to buy the other mins and my calculations tell me it will take about a month of 6-7 trips a day. I was wondering if maybe ice is worth it. I hear they are usually in low sec space and that heavy drones may not be enought to keep me safe... Please let me know what you guys been doing. PS I am in a small corp which stinks so I never have any backup, if anyone can suggest a good mining corp that also sets up odd fighting opps, I'm in.

Dont think this is a skills question but I would say you need to mine Omber or Kernite. Also Pyroxes <sp> and Plagiocase <sp> |

Ok here are a few things you can try
1) Learn to mine more effectively EI learn to mine with container. Jet can mine. group mine.
2) Train in skills that give you better yield like Astrology and mining, the higher these skill the more you will mine
3) Find a corp in this forum that does alot of mining and group play
If you have any questions join the help channels in game there is alot of assistance that can help you progress in your skills.

Veld is naturally the least profitable, if you can stand lower secm go with kernite, omber, pyro, etc.. scordite is also better than veld.

Scordite is a good start. Omber is pretty good if you get into a system that is rarely mined. Pyro isn't as good as these ore types. Plag is quite good too.
Watch the markets. the more minerals you have the better the price you can charge for them. If you have a ton of trit you want to sell for at least 3isk, this will ramp up the profit per can you mine.
Ice isn't that profitable at the moment as most POS owners mine their own ice to keep costs down, so give it a miss until the market gets a bit more stable.

The top six ores by my calculations that I've found in .6 or higher space are :
1) Omber
2) Kernite
3) Scordite
4) Pyroxeres
5) Veldspar
6) Plagioclase
These are based on prices in Gallente space, and may be different in other empires.

Hey I started mining Con Vel and made about 12,000 ISK a trip, so I made about 100,000 an hour. I moved one system out and started with Den Pyro and am now making 20,000 a trip for about 200,000 an hour.

If your refining skills are not upto scratch you can possibly make more from the ore itself.

Jet can mining normal omber with brutix will net at least 4-5mil/hr with 8 mining drones if my calculations are correct. Only problems might be ore stealers and getting sufficient cover to kill the possible rats.

ok 1st no matter what u min eu will need to get *good* prices for ur ore/mine so take a look around or find a customer willing to buy ur stuff reguarly for decent prices might work out better.
2nd get a covetor with 3 t2 mod strip miners and t2 crystals (mines rather alot) and a good hauler (will save time) the ibms are a must 4 mining as they save much time for the haulers.
3rd mining in low sec is good for getting high end mins and mining zyd and so on but but u have to consider safty, distance to ship your mins, and the time this will all take up moving around waiting for the high end ore the re grow
joining a mining core will no doubt easy many ov yor problems

Mining with two miner I's doesnt make me more than a few hundred thousand every trip to the belts

144.92/m3 = Omber
187.17/m3 = Hemorphite
226.08/m3 = Hedbergite
345.79/m3 = Gneiss
347.04/m3 = Dark Ochre
617.76/m3 = Bistot
621.38/m3 = Arkanor
650.28/m3 = Crokite
795.00/m3 = Mercoxit
Note this this assumes the regular ORE, add 5% or 10% respectively for the "leet" versions of the ores.
