You pirate scum just don`t get it do you ?
You keep putting down carebears, but you don`t have a clue as to what`s really going on and what`s coming for you...
You must imagine that carebears are just cowards hidding in the closet trembling with fear at the mere thought of encountering a big bad pirate.
Well, I suggest you take a look at what old Earth carebears did, namely the king carebears themselves, the USA, they sat back, kept everyone else away and built up an arsenal that no-one could withstand, then they just walked over anybody they wanted to with impunity.
And that is what Eve carebears are planning right now.
They don`t hide in closets, impotent with fear. They safely stay behind their ramparts where they can gather strenght and formulate plans of attack, until the day they can emerge from those ramparts with utter impunity and go wherever they please in complete safety, squashing any insect that annoys them in the least.
So enjoy your petty thievery while you can, because Eve is young and its future is carebear colored, and soon, very soon, YOU will be the ones hiding in closets in the deepest darkest corners of Eve, trembling with fear and soiling yourselves at the mere thought of encountering THE CAREBEAR MENACE.
Whahahaha, oh man I`m laughing so hard I think I just soiled myself...yep, gotta go.

God i'm sick of these posts... I'm not a pirate and i never have been... But TBH i think Pirates have had it really hard since the last couple of patches...
Pirates are just another element of the game, fair enough they shouldn't be let into 1.0 space but i'm sick to death of Carebears like you having a moan about it just for the hell of it.

Good grief people, relax will you, try breathing through your nose until your blood-pressure goes down a bit.
This is supposed to be a ROLE-playing game, my post was done strictly in-character and I feel pity for anyone who doesn`t get at least a small chuckle out of that gem of sarcastic art.

geez, i'm no pirate, in fact i can't stand them but you sound like a moron.
how about this for an idea. create a module (that uses a huge amount of power) that can disrupt the operation of jumpgates. wouldn't that add an interesting dynamic to the game.
OR let agents do it for a limited time.
sure pirates would use it a bunch but how much camping do you think they'd be doing in static systems with the knowledge that they couldn't run if the heat got to 'em. they'd either have to camp in such large groups or they'd have to be very mobile. either way their influence would be reduced to the outcast role that pirates play in any large population system (the old adage that a population with more predators than prey eventually dies off for lack of food or they end up cannabilizing itself either way it dies off, are you listening ccp?).

Don't underestimate the power of indies equipped as a EW platform. You can stick up other indies and even cruisers with a single properly equipped "q-ship" indy.
