I got some big troubles, my screen goes black when I have activated my character. It¦s like if the server doesn¦t want to load. Last time I I was on Eve I got some trouble with the "tuning in on space" so I tried to restart the game. But now the game goes black when I try to activte my character

activate your second character, and launch a petition as stuck for your first character.help is usually fast (they usually "un"stuck me within 30min to 45 min. But it happens often...

I had about the same thing happen to me, tried everything to fix it reinstalling, manually patching,etc. Im running a Radeon 9200PRO and I had the new catalyst drivers installed 3.6. So What I did was un-install them and and reload the 3.2 catalyst drivers.
Theres one thing I also did that I believe may have helped. I load my display properties and turned down the graphic acceleration two notches and reloaded eve and finally it worked and got me on through past the Entering Space Screen. Good luck!!!

Even if You dont have A Radeon Graphics card I would suggest turning down your graphics acceleration a notch or two then trying to load eve, then raise it up again till stable.

It has nothing to do with drivers, or graphics cards its what Flop said.. your character is stuck ingame and needs a GM to move the ship so you can access it again, logon with a second char (Make one if needed) and petition.

Personally I'm going to have to disagree, it isn't always that your character is "stuck" and needs a petition to a GM. In my case I'll get stuck on the black screen after char select (sometimes even b4 the char select screen), and eventually have to quit or wait for it to CTD. More times than not it will work the next time I load up EVE, other times it will get stuck again, but after a reboot it seems to work fine again ,and i'll be back in my station. Gonna run evedude plus again to see if the cleared up cache seems to help my login issues. It's just odd though that at times it loads fine, others it doesnt.
It, might even be my DSL fluctuating it's ping so much that it interupts my login to the point where it thinks i'm linkdead. *Shrug*

Its not your DSL, I have to restart my eve client a few times just to get pass the black loading screen everytime I want to play. Seems the servers are lagging alot recently.
