I think the female Aura is nice, but we need also a male-voice and come to think ccp hilmar would be perfect in this role. A light in the darkness of space and bringer of hope.
Would be just awesome if this could be implemented in the next expansion.

How about, instead, a rather reasonable idea...
Like ... getting rid of all the voice mp3s and instead using the Voice API* from Windows itself, which means all there's needed to be saved are a few lines of ascii ... which could increase the actual use of the voice DRAMATICALLY ...............

No, don't remove it Instead you should be given options for a selection of voices that you can pick According to the lore, Aura is one of several onboard weak A.I's you can install on your ship computer. |

Would rage so hard even nutjobs going full ret-ard would back away slowly, if they gave CCP Hilmar such an important role in the game.

I think the current voice of Aura is perfect, but if they go for a male version, I want Christopher Lee. He would be great for pirate ships. |

Aura is one of the few things left from the olden days.

What disappoints me is a lot of her voice acting has been slowly phased out of the game. It'll only be a matter of time I fear before she's gone for good :(
The most recent voice acting has not been done by the girl who did it originally (Caroline Dalton.) I heard they got some in-house person to do the recent acting, which does not have the same voice-effects that Aura had. Sounds a little less 'real' to Eve.
I was fortunate enough to get the voice modification effects from Jon Hallur a few years ago. I'm waiting for the right moment to use it. :) Need stuff moved? Push Industries will handle it. Serving highsec, lowsec and nullsec - and we do it faster and more reliably than anyone else. Ingame channel: PUSHX |

they could easily create some profiles for Microsoft voice, one that sounds like aura, and make all the agents and stuff in game speak, it would be quite awesome actually, with the proper profiles and technology, a computer can talk as naturally as a human, similar to vocaloid. |
