Greets,
Ive been trying to find some of the new skill books for techs in the Airmira area, the spy station...
Is it me or do these rats have like a 30 sec respawn rate or what?? I spent 2 hours in there yesterday, in a hawk, wailing away at every single thing i could find, trying to hack, while beating back the spawn. I got so many loot cans surrounding my ship that when I aggro'd the center section (by mistake) I couldn't even align w/o bumping cans. ie loot cans killed me ;(
And I read that in patch notes they are "upping" the spawn rates on many cosmos areas??
So now you can't do cosmos unless you are in a gang of 5+?? (one hawk and 4 indies )
I got so tired of killing stuff I would just tank it while hacking cans. I found that I can tank both info guys, and about 7-9 of the lil guys by just cycleing shield booster and killing the lil guys when i was at 1/4 shields. Thats just wrong.
Devs, if you want to make it "harder" add..
Quality, not quantity.
thoughts?

Well, in the Guristas Spy Station area, the Spawn Rate is insane, yes. One cannot do anything there but kill rats.
BUT, in the Contested Plag/Scordite fields or in the "Entrance"-area, the Spawn-rate is Absymally low. And they're not dropping any of the stuff that one would need. Heh.
I can only guess that CCP knows this.

I have been in the Spy station (quite a lot) and with the help of a couple of other have cleared it, Solo I can clear it well enough to hack the containers and info towers, just try to do one section at a time and try not to get into the middle of the quickly re-spawning ratz. I have had success in my Harpy but found it easier in my Caracal. Careful with the spy masters, they scramble :( The information gatherers are tough and the rats are fast (I havenĘt found anything other than manuals, weapons and blocks in there though yet) Hope this helps

It is very interesting, all those are necesery parts for building items from rewarded bpcs. Also, there is an agent from Ishukone corp in Sakkikainen who ask some of those items for completing mission.

I haven't been to the spy station yet but from what I've been through in the Trophy Room of the bandit HQ in Sakkikainen this afternoon, I have to agree, it's bloody nuts.
Worst of all, every single rat drops a can which then clutters the interface to the point where you cannot tell which cans are spawn cans and which ones are loot cans.
Plus you can't read a single message when using modules on the cans because you're shooting all the time to kill off the guardians so you can access the spawn cans in the first place.
Mining may be dull. But this crap is just as ennervating. And pointless.

Can't you set your overview not to show regular cans, only spawn cans?
There is but one God, one world, one Empire to serve Him. One people, in the Light, separated from the beasts below. |

Of course I can. In fact I always do. But that doesn't clear a single can icon from the main window, duh.
The sucking sound we all hear? That's you pulling your foot out of your mouth.

Never tryed myself, but is it posible to put log window in corner of the screen and then see gun AND module notes in it? If posible this may help solving this problem.

I remember doing the harder of the two guristas hacking sites with 2 other people. The ship count was 2 hacs and 1 assault frig. Took us about 2 hours of constant killing in order to get 5 seconds of free time to hack. In the end it was just 2 hacs tanking spawn and shooting down anything that targetted the AF while he hacked. And while that was nice and all, the constant barrage of enemy fire and the constant exploding of enemy ships was about as far from what I'd consider "hacking" to be. I think what needs to happen is to let covert ships be able to hack while cloaked. Isn't the point of hacking to get into a system steal the information and get out without being noticed? Sitting there blowing up hundreds of ships while decrypting containers shares about as much in common with hacking as it does with hair styling. Hacking and archeology are just another example of a good idea with god awful implimentation.

And, what did you loot there?
Is it the same stuff in the spy station? I have a feeling the skill books are in there, thats why we haven't seen any(few)
I was in the first stage in an AF last nite, I got so tired of hearing the constant dim of explosions, that after 2 hours I just left. I couldn't keep the gates clear enough to warp into any og the other areas...
What really bothers me is ill go around, kill everything, and have to AB up to a gate 70km away...ill get all the way over there, and then some frig will spawn, 111km away, closeing the gate....
this is very annoying...
