I just filed this petition:

something bothers me quite a while now:
Many people (including myself) spend countless hours of playing Eve Online ... and there's quite some potential in that besides self-sufficiency.
The fact that we're all playing in a single big universe is amazing and I love it. Especially the fact that you can share online time with people all around the world and have an actual (positive or negative) effect on their gaming experience is amazing. -
But it would be nice to sometimes be able to take a step out of 'The Sandbox', grow a little bigger and have an impact on the real life in a more direct way.
I would love the possibility to spend some PLEX on real people in need, for charity!
This could for example be done while purchasing PLEX (with a bit of money being donated) or by donating in-game PLEX back to you (with a bigger amount of money being donated).
Please consider this. I think you could give it a try small-scale. And accept the first PLEX from me! :3
What do you think about this idea, 'People of the Sandbox'?

CCP has sponsored these types of donations before themselves, so I think you should wait to hear back on your petition.
The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the ho's and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!' and I'll look down, and whisper 'no.' |

It's called 'plex for good', and it comes up as an appeal every so often for specific events. |

People are free to give their hard-earned money to charity as they see fit. Why insert a new level of non-sense just to achieve a goal of donating to someone else's charity of choice?

so it doesn't seem to be advertised too much...

OP and the person he quoted are lazy. Not only is this already an offered feature with Plex for Good, but there is at least one reputable organization in game, that takes donations, and when PLEX for good comes up, cashes out those donations for the PLEX relief drive.
Thankyou, for wasting CCP's time answering petitions to things that already exist. No this isn't a new idea you had, way to not use the search function.

Probably cause 99% of the so called "charities" are criminal gigs used to launder money ... now that I think about it, it's more like 99.999%.

For those of you who do not know, the reputable organization that my good friend Arronicus is referring to is the Haedonism Bot Foundation. Our tireless volunteers collect donations of PLEX and isk and, through CCPs "PLEX for good" program, we put these donations to work feeding and clothing Nigerian orphans.
Anybody who would like to make a charitable donation can send their isk, or contract their PLEX, to Haedonism Bot.
Thank you for your dedication to helping orphans.
