I've been triple boxing lvl4's in Caldari space recently. Doing 3 missions together at a time on my accounts. My question is; would I make isk faster if I looted and salvaged each mission in a Noctis, or if I blitzed missions and ***** LP for the LP store? |

I dont know if this is 'the best' plan but it works for me.
I BM (Coprorate BM) the first wreck in any deaspace mission area I land in. after an hour and half of mission running I send both toons out in Noctis's to clean up all the BM's. Loot and salvage are almost always worth double the bounties and sometimes much more.
As for LP, I have been finding less and less margins available on LP items, (I blame FW farms) but there is more than enough to still make it worthwhile if you research it right.

I am not saying that salvaging is a bad choice. if you are too lazy to research the right items to buy with LP, do not have a high performing mission ship, do not know how to blitz properly etc., looting/salvaging may very well be your best option.

Don-Št forget the time you have to invest to sorting the loot, reprocessing some of it, ferrying it to the trade hub, selling it or setting up sell orders (and babysit them) while all this time spent could be used to run another mission or two.
On the other hand I believe a 1:2000 rate for LP is quite liberal and lucky. A lesser exchange rate is more likely and less time intensive. Forum-unbanned since 2011.10.20.

You could use a salvage corp like Pro Synergy if you don't want to salvage yourself but hate leaving the stuff behind.

So many variables.
Depends on the LP store.
depends on how fast you can salvage. I find it much harder to multibox salvagers than dps ships. So you may be able to run triple box missions faster then trying to salvage.
Depends on your play style. When I ran missions I just found salvaging a change of pace. After 90min or so the salvaging was almost like a break. |

I recently started salvaging all my missions. I run for an hour or so, then salvage. Make rigs with what I can and every few weeks sell the items that are over 100k each and melt the rest to make ammo with. Trade ammo and LP for faction ammo. Use some, sell some. I dual box for the mission and just use 1 toon to salvage. Its almost impossible to keep up with one noctis, dunno how people use 2. Tractoring 4 wrecks while salvaging 4 and emptying containers is all my poor old co-ords can handle. T2 tractors, T2 salvagers and ore industrail 4 makes for quick work

I have to say farming missions makes life easier for dualboxing kill/salvage. As I dont care about Gal standings a week of EA3 nets 40-50 mil per day. Oh and as I see the margins, 800isk/LP appears to be average. |

It depends on the mission a lot of the time too, something like Gone Berserk will net you a huge amount of cash in mods, more than the reward+bounty, most missions not so much, although I find mercs give good payout too, whereas drone missions are not really worth looting at all.
Although, if your multi-boxing, I don't see the harm in dropping 1 character for a Noctis. |

Ok. the best answer is to salvage and then use the reprocessed minerals to build stuff off blueprints bought from LP store. I use the ore/sell guide on eve-industrialist.com. this tells you what is most profitable being sold and what should be reprocessed and used for minerals. I wont tell you what I make, but it is pretty good for just using two toons. I have alfo found that if you are interested, using the drops and putting them into ships and then putting those shps on contract will also be a good revenue, as most new players that know how to use contracts will look for a fully fut ship they can use, and most of the drops are lets 2-3, sometimes 4. If you can run 2 accounts at once, I highly recommend using the isk you make from blitzing to create a new character, train for a t2 fit noctis, and then your profits will be much higher. Do the mission on one character, and salvage behind it with another in a well skilled noctis. Thats how I do it, and its working pretty well for me. Blitzing is best if you are interested in buying a titan within the next month or so, and can only run one account, salvaging is best if you want more long term table profits, as with what has already been said most missions are different in what they drop what they give as bounties and what they give as LP/reward. hope this helps. |

If it took you 20 minutes to salvage three missions then you're either not paying attention or you're an incredibly slow player.. Between the effectiveness of the drones and a properly fitted out noctis you should be moving through sites quickly.
I wait till I have a huge load of loot before I even bother sorting it. It takes me less then 10 minutes to sort and prepare the loot. Then whenever I make a run to a major hub for supplies I take the loot with me to drop off and sell. The part that takes the longest is actually selling the stuff.
I am moving into making rigs with some of the salvage which allows for better margins. I also am intending to get around to making my own ammo at some point with the stuff I've melted down. |

the EA chain is nice, I just wish EA 5/5 was triggers instead of timed... sit around waiting for respawns. ah well ~70m in loot, max lp payout, and 3m reward+bouns all in ~30 mins
and as said above the longest part is selling all the damn loot. man I don't look forward to that jita trip.... You can trust me, I have a monocole |

So you are instantly selling your LP for 2k conversion huh? Sure. 22500 lp per 25 minutes? That's 3 of the top tier missions in half an hour. You aren't getting that in the same system. So now were talking about moving systems, which seriously lowers the income over time. Yes, when maximizing LP you can get a lot MAXIMUM. But you cant get that many LP sustained over time.
My record for salvaging is currently 272 mil an hour in hisec because I salvaged gone berserk back to back in 11 minutes. But trying to say I can sustain 272 mil an hour salvaging is bullshit. Same with saying you can make 60mil every hour converting LP. You have to consider the market time and the times you don't get the good missions.
we're gonna make them eat our ship, then ship out our ship, and then eat their ship that's made up of our ship that we made 'em eat. |

Incursion ISK whoring probalby makes the best ISK after Forsakin' HUB anom whoring by caps & super CAPs in NULL from what I've heard ... Both are probably eclipsed by WH salvage/blue loot in class 6's but that is alot more work because you have to transport the stuff out An' then [email protected], he come scramblin outta theTerminal room screaming "The system's crashing! Lol. even a c3 crushes the very best incursion ISK whoring. we're gonna make them eat our ship, then ship out our ship, and then eat their ship that's made up of our ship that we made 'em eat. |

I'm lazy so hate salvaging.
My method is to start mission. Drop salvage drones, tractor any cans and forget any wrecks which are out of range. Once the red crosses are gone so am I.
Sometimes I get a few wrecks, sometimes nearly all of them.
After about 10 missions I sold / reprocessed and got about 150 mil. This additional income is great for almost no work.
Essentially this works for me because going back with a Noctis doesn't suit me.
I use a marauder mind so get a tractor range bonus. And in all those missions I lost 3 drones to inattention.

Sorting through the loot and selling it shouldn't take nearly as long as people are saying. There's very few mods that are really worth saving to sell in Jita (sell price > value of reprocessed minerals), and if you pay attention you can learn them all pretty quick. The vast majority can be reprocessed without thought. I'm assuming you have good reprocessing skills, which your noctis alt should have.
Going through mod by mod and comparing sell prices to reprocessing prices can improve your margins a little, and so can setting up (and babysitting) lots of sell orders. But neither of these things is worth the time for the marginal ISK increase. Just grab the big ticket items and move on.
Edit: Big ticket meaning items who's sell value >> reprocessing value. Not necessarily items with a big sell price. Almost all of the big guns sell for a lot but the minerals are worth just as much. |

Reprocesses all works fine. There's only a few modules worth more than their reprocessed value, once you know how to spot them it should take under one minute to sell. we're gonna make them eat our ship, then ship out our ship, and then eat their ship that's made up of our ship that we made 'em eat. |

Some of the LP ratio's in this thread are way too high.
Looting/salvaging the missions will make you a little more with a max noctis.
The best way is find a newer player to clean up behind you and split the loot/salvage. Both of you will make more isk. |
