Edited by: Dr Caymus on 31/08/2005 18:31:19 By that, I mean how much time does your character typically sit idle from completion of one skill (or skill level) to start of another?
I'm usually pretty quick, but today I was 45 minutes late getting back to the computer to start a new skill. In thinking back, I've probably missed about 4 hours of traininig time in the last 3 months. That would be a training efficiency of 99.81%.

I spend the last few weeks finishing all those skills left at 50-90% because I didn't want to lose training and started on some new skill or level and then forgot about them.
Now, one week after that I see those percentages popping up again as I just do not want to lose skill training time sighs.

longest I believe was 6 hrs, I fell asleep waiting for a skill to complete(had like 15 minutes left when I passed out)
usually it's under a minute, unless i'm in combat when it happens, or like this morning CTD 30 seconds before completion, then it's 3 - 5 minutes
I usually go so far as to start long skills when I am going to bed, or plan on working extended periods(like 16 hrs OT this week, I started a 6 days skill just in case), and switch them out if they would finish while i'm afk been playing about 3.5 - 4mths, and missed maybe 7 hrs(whats that about 98%? efficiency) |

99.7%. A total of about two days over the past 2 years. That doesn't count my 4 month vacation, of course. My usual time is about half a second and I make a point of staring at my skillsheet for the hour leading up to completion. ---

When after a skill that will let me play with some new toy (pilot a new ship, fit a new module, or train another skill), no more than 1 second.
If I'm increasing some of the skills that just give me another 5% at something I can already do (say, Navigation or Wholesale), then I'm usually not so motivated and may lose from 30 minutes to an hour. -

I used to take make sure I was always training a skill never mised a minute. Now that I have a new employer and I am unable to switch skills during the day I find that I have been missing way to much training time for my liking.
(So far the longest has been 16 hours, because I forgot to switch my training skill before going to bed.

About 2,5 to 3 days combined during the 2+ years I've been playing. The longest stint being about 5-6 hours last spring when I forgot to switch to a long skill before I went to sleep. The rest are small lapses here and there due to RL issues and unexpected downtimes. ----- Sable's Ammo Shop at Alentene 5, Moon 4, Duvolle Laboratories Factory. Ammo at affordable prices. |

About 75%
Frequently finish a skill during work time (or overnight and forget to log on b4 going to work) and have had periods of inactivity during last 2.5 years, or whatever it has been.
Still, I can do what I want to do, so np.

I missed maybe 30 hours or so since I started, most of it due to server issues. Worst one was a total system crash about 20 second before my skill finished and then the server went up hours and hours later when I was at work :-)

I've missed about 6 hours when the first patch day came (I was still new at that time) It was somewhere in May I think. Last time I lost training was again because of server problems. I was stuck somewhere for half a day, and I missed 12 hours of training.
So in total I probably lost 1 day of training over 5 months.

I once missed 3 days straihgt becuase I could have SWORN I changed the skill to the long one, over the last major patch day loggged on expecting advanced focus 5 and realise that in fact I had complted some low level 1 or 2 skill.
Not the first time either, ever sit there, see that you have around 20mins left to skill completion? Wait 5 mins, spam on chat with corp mates then forget all about the skill, log and go to sleep only to curse at work the next day when you remember why you logged on in the first place???

Just don't ask. I lost like 1-2 months of training when I tried another char on the SAME account abit after release. + the odd 1-2 hours when some unforeseen RL issue screws up your skill schedule.
= I have about ~2M SPs less than I could have...
so efficiency ~94%

i¦m always forgetting my skills but i have a sneaky corpmate who keeps an eye out for me. He is Amarr so he always sets some Amarr skill for me. I personally have never trained an Amarr skill but i can fly Amarr Bs¦s quite well and use Amarr large Weapons as well.

my greatest horror became reality when i moved homes and my *Cencored* ISP neglected to connect my cable!!! I got stuck 7 days without connection knowing full well my skill would run out on day 4. I tried to install EVE on a friends comp but somehow it wouldn't work, so i lost 3 days... thats been the longest time ever.
Had it not been for these 3 days it would have been 99.999% accurate (u always lose a second or 2 by clicking another skill )

I lost about 2 weeks worth of training time thru constantly getting stuck and unable to enter game at the start, lost about a day since. I did lose 3 hours thru a skil training not taking few months ago but petitioned and after reaching 3-ply on emails it got acknowledged and I got the time back. Now if only I could get the lost time from start of the game back when I couldn;t login as char was stuck.
Out of interest a breakdown on lost training thru inability to change yourself when able and lost training due to server being down when it shouldn;t of or character being stuck for days - now that would be interesting stats I bet, depressing but interesting.
