will all new players note there is no such thing as a noob question in eve.
people who call people noobs in this game are either doing it in a jocular way or in an insulting way because they themselves are idiots (so ignore them).
new players can be called newbs or newbies but this is a much friendlier word.
EVE is an extremely complicated game involving game play on many levels.
DO NOT feel embarrassed to ask questions - its the only way to evolve. The game mechanics changes all the time so even experienced players always need to learn more.
To learn , to play better, to understand fully - ask questions. There will always be people willing to help both on the forums and in game in the "help" channel (or even often in local).
..enjoy...

well, even after 2 years of eve I feel myself as a noob, cause you learn new things every day (like in RL)
so basicly we're all noobs with a different level of knownledge (some are Noob IIs)
P.S. My teacher always said :"there are no stupid questions, just stupid answers" Phalus too big, check mail - Cortez |

Only two types of people I hate in this game: People who discriminate against other races, and the French.

I agree, I donÆt like the term noob and give a little shudder even as I type it, newbie is a little better but not by much, I have bumped into people in the game that have been playing for less than half the time I have but have taken to it like a duck to water and then there are others like myself that canÆt keep up with all the changes in the game and havenÆt tried all the various aspects of the game preferring to concentrate on bits of it and get round to the rest of it if we ever get time to train the skills . IÆm a year and a half in to the game and have a character that can mine a belt dry in an evening but has never built a single thing in the game, wouldnÆt know where to start. I could do any mission up to and including some of the level 4 ones solo but PvP and IÆm a little out classed most of the time. IÆm not ashamed of it, I just live and learn. I now fly a HAC and canÆt remember the last time I was bothered by a pirate (other than a month ago when some bandit took out my mining barge in Otou) so IÆm getting there, there is so much to this game I donÆt know anyone who knows it all. IÆm going to keep coming here, I answer where I can but a lot of the time itÆs just as helpful for me as the person who is new to the game. We donÆt know what we donÆt know till we need to know it and find that we donÆt (as someone once told me) See you in space .
