I used to fly a brutix, back then i used it for gate camping in low sec 0.3 mainly, and i cud pod anythin smaller than itself, obviously risking "deep-structure-penetration" but i eventually lost it to a scorp at a gate.

yes, there pretty flexible ships, well worth a look at. Used it for PVP and see people use them for agent/NPC stuff, heck believe some even mine in em. For the skillage required and the ability to max out and fly any race training wise there pretty darned sweet.

I fly a Ferox and it works perfectly for level 3 mission. The only problem I have with it, is it's so damn slow without an ab or mwd.

The Prophecy packs a mean tank.
Same resistance bonuses as the maller, but more grid, more cpu, more cap, more slots, .. you get the idea. A bit slower than a maller tho

/me lubs my prophecy.
6 heavy pulseII's 1 heavy launcher, nos....maybe
scrambler, tracking computer, cap recharge
1 cpr, as many hs2's as you can wedge in it.
10 drones in hold
NPC proph
heavy pulse +quad light (i would reccomend heavy anode pulse particles), 2 launchers
3 cap charger II's
2 med repairor II's 2 active armor hardeners (npc specific), cpr's
10 drones in hold
if you do it right, and have good skills, you can run your tank forever, but not your tank+guns.
L3's can get a little hair raising sometimes...or they used to when i did l3's but the drones have saved me more times than i can count.
heckuva tank on that thing....looks good, and does good damage with the heavy pulse 2's and heat sinks. shoots Fast too like that.

Love my Ferox. I set it up as a shield tanker with 4 heavy launchers and 3 250s and all the medium drones I can hold. I have never come close to losing this ship on level 3 missions, even when the real world pulls me away for a little bit! Even extravaganza and silence the informants are EASY (if not a little time consuming) when they used to be a challenging event in my Moa.
I was affraid to take the plunge into a Ferox, as I was/am saving for a Raven, until I lost another Moa to silence the informants. Since then I have never looked back, although she is a VERY slow ship compared to a Moa (both with T2 10 mn ABs).
Take the plunge and enjoy!

I fly a BC all the time with gang assist modules. Its very useful in groups but useless solo.

I fly a prophecy and ferox, but proph is way better tbh, it's got a better tank, and more firepower if you want, i fitted it with a 9k armor tank and t2 small lasers, to eat inty's in pvp
NPCing goes with med pulses and ganking

Shield extenders + shield tank + 4x PDS IIs + 5x Assault launchers or 5x dual 150mms = the same thing.

Prophecy is best BS IMO, maybe a bit too good but the slow speed makes up for it I'd say.
I use different setups depending on the situation. Have even killed HACs on 1on1s.
Havent tried the gang assist modules yet, would also like to read more info about them. Is it true that in a gang only the bonus from 1 module is active?

Glad to hear that a BC pilot has fought and won against HAS. Which HAS was it?
Me I fly Brutix and Ferox. I use the Brutix in its role as a rail platform because of its damage bonus, and hence i'll go 7 x Dual 150, or 7 x Ions, target painter, webber, AB, Cap Booster, 1600 Tungsten in lo.
Ferox i use as a missile platform, and so 5 x heavy, 2 x 250 to aggro them from afar. 2 x hardner, med booster, AB, extender/signal booster/painter/.. In the low 4 x BCU or pdu or a mix of both.
Both are great BCs and i've done ALL lvl 3 missions solo in each of them with no problem.
As for the gang assist modules you can only get the bonus from 1 module but not sure if you fit more than one and cycle through them how it would work. Apparently the people that have these skills have uncovered so many bugs so i won't be using htem for a while yet.
Enjoy BCs they are very competent ships.
Oh i forgot to say I also use my Brutix with 7 miner 2s. Much cheaper than using a BS to mine.

Pod = killed a Pod, u must have had a damn fast locking setup for that !
Now I got that Out the Way.
Ferox Is brilliant for Gatecamping, Agent missions. Its natural resists give it an excellent edge.
Prophecy is my Favorite its an Awesome little ship.
