How can I create a new account using my original CD and keep the origial account up and running? I have re-installed EVE in a new directory, and when registering it is not very clear, but it appears that I may lose my original account by re-entering the CD key...
Someone got a step-by-step guide?
I don't want to buy a new game, but just want to start paying the monthly sub using the original cd :-)

If you jsut relocated the install folder, you can just enter your normal username and password. You don't need to re-register.
If you want to have a second account using your old CD-Key, that's not possible. You have to have a different CD-Key for each account.

So to have a secondary account I've got to spend another ú30 odd quid to get a new cd key?

you are supposed to ! i mean, we pay 13 bucks every month, plus the 59 dollars for the game. I dont' understand CCP, dont they want more subcribesions? let people register as many new accounts as possible using same cdkey, they still get much more in the long run

I've bought the game files and everything needed to get the game. I've used the CD key for my free month. Why can't we just open a new account and start paying the usual rate?
It may be anti-piracy, but it's a pain in the arse. CCP have lost out on an extra tenner a month they would have gotten from me. (Unless they want to make an exception in my case...) ;-)

I suppose we could have bought on CD and passed it rtound the the planet and all set up our accounts........but that would take organisation

I'm sure in time it will come as the coffers start to dry up more incentives will be handed out.
They will want your extra $13.00 a month (Jash said they get **** all from the box sale anyway).
Perhaps buddy codes for getting someone else to sign up LOL. Sound familiar?
Or a free month when you quit to try and get you to stay.
E&B just sent me FIVE buddy codes each with a free month. I don't even remember how many skill points and cash that translates into. All to TRY and woo me back to the game.
So just be patient EVE's time will come and you will be able to use your CD key and pay them for the monthly script for more accounts without having to buy another box. You might not have to wait long.

And the game would be completely ****** up with ore stealers, pirates (hell, regular people too) having 50 alts each.
