Now, please dont flame this , I'm just was wondering why freighters have no slots, concidering that they can only unload at a station. What was the thinking on this. Honestly. Just having a few lows and a few mid slots (depending on race) would make these things even more useable.

i think having 1,000,000m3 of cargo space is pretty damn usable.

I think they need to be given built-in +20 warp core strength and 8 med-slots.

Flamed, its no wonder I dont post on this forum. It has only intellectal challanged people on it, I asked a question and get shot down. This wasnt a whine but a honest question that got nothing more then a pathetic response.

WTF is wrong with you he's asking a question why Freighters dont have slots and you just flame him, why couldnt u just answer his question or even better not post at all.

The reason they donĘt have slots is they donĘt need them. Low slots could be used to fit cargo expanders which would slow the ship down to much. Also one of the draw backs to the ship was its slow speed and if you had mid and low slots you could take afterburners and other speed mods. Not that a 100mw afterburner would have much effect it would be like running a 10mw AB on a battleship.
The main reason for no slots is itĘs a pure cargo ship and slots would let you do other things with it. In the same way shuttles donĘt need slots neither does this ship.
I like the ship how it is and more ships should have less slots and more inbuilt roles. IE perhaps a battleships with an xlarge shield booster built into it with 1 EM hardener. But less slots then other battleships.
In short the Devs want the ship to be very slow and no slots keep the ship slow.

Freighters have no low slots so that they can not use Warp Core stabs (cargo expanders aren't really needed)
Freighters have no med slots because why on earth would they? Indy's use mid slots for AB and not much else (and I don't see any 1000mn AB's around)
Freighters have no high slots because AFK mining would produce a big yeild
