This isn't in role play mode, and it's directed at the biggoted idiots who run mOo.
This morning I was updating my wanted portraits from the bounty list, to make it easier to spot PC pirates in the local channel, when I thought I'd also look at what some of the pirate Corps put as their Corp descriptions.
When I came to mOo I discovered the following:
"No Fat people, no ugly people no retards and split personalities need apply."
I have a close family relative who is severly learning disabled, not through a birth problem, but as the result of a 'boy racer' racing through a park.
I find this comment incredibly offensive, ignorent, and damn right insulting.
My relative struggles with life, but 90% of her problems are from the idiot attitude that has been shown here. You may think it a great laugh to make fun of the less abled. I just hope that you are never put in the position where you have to deal with something like this, because as ignorent as you are I wouldn't wish it on even you.
And please. Don't give me any crap about this being 'roleplaying'. This has nothing to do with the game, just plane biggoted ignorence

Try telling that to my sister. Better still, tell it to all the ignorent idiots who use it against anybody who has a mental disability.
No matter what a dictionary says, both in the UK and the US the word is used as part of a common derogetory phrase against anybody who has a mental disability.

That is his point, Wil.
It can mean someone who is stupid and/or mentally disabled.
However, as the rest of the description is highly derogatory, I think M0O meant the latter rather then the former.

Aye Josh I understand that now <g> I'm afraid I did get a bit 'hot under the collar' about this.
Now that I've got it out of my system I would like to take the opportunity to say.
Remember guys. It's one thing role playing, but be responsible. You don't know the real life circumstances of other people in the game. So just use a little common sense please when writing things either here or in game.

if you are seriously mentally injured from that statement, I SUGGEST you quit the game immediately, go hide in your closet and shut the door as there is alot worse things said posted ect out there.
It's a game, MoO are pirates, as in killing "people like you " kinda pirates.
Nothing I hate worse than some "gimp" taking a moral highground over something stupid as that.

i kill people too, which goes to show you, you dont have to be in moo to be a pirate anyone can diot it, and its alot of fun. but remember to distinguish yoursefl as a pirate form just some pk, you must always ask for some money or something before you blow up their ship, and again when they're in there pod. sometimes they dont get it the first time and will better understand you with some incentive.

Grow up. You're apparently way too easily offended. So m0o's description is "offensive" and tasteless. Big goddamn deal. If you let yourself be truly upset by anything in the info text of a few pirates in a computer game, you have problems. I'm sure the only reason they wrote that description was for the fun of watching uppity dorks pull it out of context just so that they can get upset and whine about it.
