Dear CCP,
Some documentation for these would have proved nice. You stated these could jump into any system than .5, that however is INCORRECT. You cannot open a Cyosenural field in .4's! This might MIGHThave been useful to tell us BEFORE we built them.
In addition to this, there is no documentation I can find anywhere that states fuel usage for the dread itself per jump.
Also, the range, 2.5 lightyears is absolutly rediclius when viewing the map in 3D. Even with the range increase skill maxed out (rank 7 skill) it is still extremely difficult to move these things.
I don't want to whine, but after spending billions on the prints, billions on minerals, tons of man-hours, and waiting 12 days for it to build (while sweating the factory rental-ejection bug that you CLAIM doesnt exist)I expected much more than a pile of steel comfined to empire because of false and lacking information released by you.

CCP do big things great and simple things pathetic (ie got the dreads in all good but the documentation and other handy info is missing in action)

The only cutting done is of patience. For the people that want to fly them.

HAHAHA. seeing a moros come in a 1.0 field and start to mine.. i think all the new players (HELL SOME OF THE OLD PLAYERS!) flock to the ship like flies to a carcass :)
sad thing is .. youd be a big FAT more or less undefended target to whoever your at war with :)
Rat hunting in 0.7 in a dread anyone?? ROFL

saw a dread floating around in yulai the other day, dunno what they were gonna do with it, cant jump out of the system.

dread in yulai can use jumpe gates as per normal cant it ? still the confusion surrounding dread jump drive operation etc is causing real annoyance for alliances and large corps alike

I am in a similar situation.
CCP said the dreadnoughts are heavily prenerfed. I hope this nerf will be removed soon. The damage output of a Dreadnought is insignificant higher than the damage of a battleship but this comes with the penalty of less tracking and a much higher signature resolution of the capital guns. I am not talking about the siege mode. The Dreadnought has much better tanking abilities with a capital repairer than a battleship, though. For this advantage you have to pay billions. The siege mode itself seems to be fine in theory.
I have the jump drive calibration skill but the range still is not enough for many routes. I do believe the real downside of the Dreadnought is the need to create a cynosural field. I have not tested it but it seems the creator of this field becomes a target unable to move for 10 minutes, visible on the map, with a 'jump to' beacon in the system. Please correct me if I am wrong. You will need 2 blobs to slowly move a dread from a to b. Currently Dreadnoughts are tools only for the biggest alliances which can create the required blobs. Others will have to move the Dreadnought one jump each day after downtime.

its pathetic you cant fly you ship anywhere where you want it.
Its even more pathetic that you need around 30 players to just fly from a to b and whant to survive and tell about it..
Then you can price your self lucky if you get it in to range of an POS with people who actualy guard it, then get in to siege mode and even try a shot.. not even speaking of that you need to get back where you came from..
NOw picture that with massive LAG and CTD`s wich result with BLOBS.. no matter how fast your pc is..

Didn't you know? "Ridiculous" is the single most difficult word to spell in the english language. Most people figure this out after spending more then 10 minutes on the internet.
