Edited by: Alvares on 06/09/2005 03:15:06 Edited by: Alvares on 06/09/2005 03:11:51 Here is a rundown of what I think could probably be the best solo pvp set-up you can put on a rupture.
High- 4x 220mm autocannons 2x med nos
Med 1x AB 1x Webber 1x Warp Scrambler
Low 1x Med Armor Repair 1x Thermal Harder 1x Kenetic Harder 1x Explosive Harder 1x Wildcard -PDU, RCU, GyroStab, WCS, whatever
Another setup I have is the same except you replace 1 med nos with an assult launcher, and add 400mm plate in the lowerslot. Both are about equal I think.
This set up works very well against frigs with you being able to nos them, and against cruisers it is ok if you kill their heavy drones first. For battleships, well I tend to pray on apoc miners, but I'm sure it could kill a less than able BS. thanks for reading!

Alvares, sorry mate but that setup isn't very good, you don't have the cap to tank, nor do you have the armor to outlast your enemy while your dps kicks in.
Anything with a plate would *****you basically, anything with drones, would also *****you, anything with a nos could prolly also rip you to bits.
Keep trying, its a good setup but not against another PVP Cruiser, imho.

That setup is wrong on so many lvls.
Heres my stabber setup that works well u can adapt it to the rupture i reckon:
4 t2 daul 180s 2 NOS (medium&small)
1ABII 1 web 1 scram
1 med t2 2 adpative nanos IIs
how it helps slot layout if for a stabber remember : )

I bought a Rupture and tried a plate and non-plate setup and, however much I wanted it to do well, it quite frankly sucked (no plate, 800mm & 1600mm setups tried). It's DPS is laughable and finding a setup that can out-do a Thorax or even Maller/Vexor will be tough work

Well, this works well:
4xdual 180, 2 assault launchers or 1 med nos, 1 standard launcher. 1 ab, 1x scram, 1x web 800mm plate, 3 hardeners, Med rep.
The dual 180s, especially tech 2, will hurt anything else, a lot. Works best with min cruiser 5 tho. "Speak quietly and carry a big torpedo."

haven't tried the rupture much, but I'd venture to say that you'd need to make use of the ship bonus to have an effective setup on it. Otherwise, it might not work out.

My current Rupture loadout is similar to a number of those:
4x dual 180mm, 2x standard launcher AB, web, cap recharger Small repairer, passive electrified thermal kinetic explosive armour hardners, 1600 plate 6x medium drones - which are a significant fraction of this boats firepower.
Pretty close fit with Engineering 5. In a few days I'll have advanced weapon upgrades, and I'll look again as to what I can squeeze on additionally then.
It's also far more fun to fly than my Cyclone.

He doesn¦t. It¦s much more versatile than the other races cruisers, like maller or thorax, but it¦s also much harder to fit. For PVP theres a simple rule that works (imho):
close range (autocannons): go for tank, fit 800 or (better) 1600mm plate long range (artillery): fit for gank with gyrostabs and targetpainters
