Why did the patch have to change the font size?
-It's too small to read comfortably -It doesnt even fit into the lines in the wallet

everyone I have spoken to hates the new font. CCP, why change something that doesn't need changing. It was fine before. It's not like the font was bugged.

I really think you're missing the point. It's not size; it's that at certain resolutions (i.e. on a 17" TFT @ the native 1280 x 1024) the text appears very blurry; and is giving people headaches.

Morover, they were warned. On SiSi, on these boards - the day they put in the new font on the test server we told em its pants.
Needs to get reverted on the next downtime.

Well, the font, you are complaining about, was part of a widget test in a seperate development branch. Accidently, this test got ported with the IME (chinese/japanese/korean input) stuff. To make it short, the files have been reverted to their old state now. Everything will look as before.

I like the new font. Can we have an option?

"To make it short, the files have been reverted to their old state now. Everything will look as before."
It does, except for some reason everything in the wallet is now aligned to left side of the column, numbers included:
-90.000.000.23 90.000.000.23 234.456.00 56.456.56
etc o.x;
while on the subject of UI fonts, would it be possible to give player option to select the fonts they want to use? seeing how apparently the client supports regular TrueType fonts now, and whatnot... could even use the standard windows font selection dialog, doubt anyone would mind this tidbit not looking 'good enough' ^^;;;

The 'font problem' was actually caused by using newer layouting widgets. We are currently rewriting parts of the font rendering code to support unicode everywhere. The right alignment in columns came with the new widget. Surprisingly, nobody noticed this, except the new font. Unfortunately, the new widget does not support the old font. I had to revert the whole change including the right alignment support. As you may have noticed, it will not be possible to switch between both fonts.

All you need to do is take the size of the font up a notch, it's too small that's all... ___________________________________________ http://www.eve-tutor.com

Actually I really liked the new font, the only problem I had with it is that it was slightly too small for me to easily read, maybe increase it by a pt or two?

A font size option sure would be great.
I'm running in 1856x1392 on a 22" monitor. It certainly would be nice to be able to at least up it one size. I have to lean forward to read some things half the time and the rest of the time it's a strain.
Pretty please?
