Both pilots being equal, if the two BS'ers went toe-to-toe who would most likely win? all being equal meaning skills that apply to their ships all at max.

depends on range, if its longrange mostlikly tempest would own raven befor his torps/cruise hit home

depends on setup of course, as always. pilots do not have to have equal skills, the setup is a lot more important factor.

Generally, close range Raven wins, long range Tempest wins. It's not always that simple though.

Hey mate,
I know that I can take out a Raven at long range in my tempest and I have taken out multiple Ravens at close range before in a single instant using a Tempest with Autocannons.
..But you'd have to be a bit more specific with a scenario.
I have seen a Raven snipe with missiles from 185km with good effect. At that range with a Tempest I doubt you'd have enough slots to reach that far. :P

Tempest can easily take a raven close range if its fitted with AC's

there is a simple, and a not so simple answer to that. if the tempest can track the raven, and gett off 3-4 salvoes with 1400mm t2, it wins, if it cannot, it dies, and it dies quickly. for the sake of the argument, lets say its a raven doing em damage, and puts out about 5400 dmg per salvoe, every 7 seconds, shields go down in an instant, and armor goes down in another 14 seconds. and that is not totaly unbelieveable damage by the way.
but id use a muninn, then the raven would have no chance in HELL.

on long range and alone, I would place my money on the raven

1400t2 hit from 5 to 200km.
but the temp can put an effective shieldtank on and dish an ebil amount of dmg with Acs out at the same time.
if the temp dont gets jammed and knows what he does he should win.

as somone who spent most of their time training mainly for missiles i know wish i had trained gunnery instead, the raven since the nerf and yes it was a nerf is majorly gimped and has gone from being one of if not the strongest bs to being the weakest yes the new skills help with extra range and faster travel times for missiles but torps now dont have the range needed and cruise altho having decent range dont really do enough damage, so if i had to make this decision it would be tempest every time

really depends on setups... but from 150+km raven has better chances. But anyway if distance is 20+ one warp out anyway.
