I was surprised with Heron remodel (Apocalypse was expected after some devposts). Also notice Colony ship (ancient earthlings and archeology?) and station/gate V3 as next step after capital V3 completion.
Tristan re-design concept was demonstrated on previous FF and it's really cool.

IIRC I cried about it back then as well. Tristan is a very recognizable hull, full of character and not at all in need of a redesign. The Atron and Imicus concepts that were screened at that time were very good and are a little overdue.
But, as you say, CCP seem to have gone back to the drawing board with a number of ships. Time marches on.

The new one still looks like a Tristan ... and it still has that glowing thingy ...
... so i guess it could be worse.
