Edited by: Ethrion on 07/09/2005 18:23:18 I'm looking to get the above frieghter in 2 weeks time and I thought it best to start asking around now so as to secure a deal.
I do not want BYOM or BYOC - just a straight trade: Freighter for cash
I will be paying 1.3B ISK
Please reply here, convo me in game or send me an EVE-Mail if you are interested in securing this deal.
Cheers

FFS... whats with folk that have too much time on their hands that feel the need to voice their displeasure that someone isnt willing to fill their wallet fatter than it alreaedy is (if you can build freighters).
Quit with the whining coz I'm prepared to negociate on a price... im just testing the water in preparation.
1.3B is cheap I agree, but ive seen 2 in escrow for that (and no I'm not telling porkies for the nooblets that will feel the need to call me a liar).
Is 300-500M profit per piece not quite enough for you?
----
anyways... sorry for the rant
as I said I'm prepared to be completely reasonable in negociating a price. I would just like to get a deal sorted out now so that when my training finishes it's ready in my hangar
bear in mind though that what im spending is just about everying i have in liquidated assets
I've had a few bits of interest so far but no firm deal struck yet so keep the offers coming in. - BTW ill consider BYOM deals if you do them.
Thanks again.

At 1.3 bill you dont make 500 mill profit though. And yes we are into building freighters, just not Amarr ones.
Those who bought the bpo's required for building these nice ships invested quite a bit of capital into it. The long building time and build requirements, does warrant high prices for these ships tbh. The amount of man-hours that goes into each built ship does as well warrant the cost of them.
As for fill fatty wallets. You realize the amount of ISK needed to aquire the bpo's? Sorry for go OT on your thread, but from a builders side, I just think some "customers" doesn't realize what it takes sometimes to get a product built

at 1.3 bil you make 200mil profit so... that isn't enough to put up buy orders and let the factories run while you go and do something else?
You're all acting like its such a big thing to produce them while its just a matter of minerals and bpc's nothing more

If its such a big thing, that I dont know, if it take a lot of work and time to get one built? Yes.
If its that easy to do, I suggest, or rather challenge you to get OP of this thread his freighter at 1.3 bill from only use buy orders and bpc's.

lol... loving the banter in this thread
I agree that it takes a good deal of logistical organisation to make a capital ship so I salute those that do, however it cannot be denied that the profit is lucrative and larger than average... but then we (being be the lowly buyer) are paying for the time doing the logistical work... which is fair enough.
looks like I'm gonna have a hard time to secure a deal at the offered price but I am looking to secure one nonetheless. Ive had 2 offers of 1.5B so far but if we can do better than that it would be much appreciated =]
so the gist of it is that I'm still on the lookout so if your interested in discussing terms and securing buyers weeks in advance then let me know coz I want one badly

HINT ;-)
Gather all the minerals at needed at one location. Contact component bpo holders and ask if they do "on site byom" deals. When you got all the parts needed to build the ship, contact a bpo holder and ask if he can do buold on site BYOC deal.
That would be your "cheapest bet" imho.

Edited by: Mr Ratty on 08/09/2005 23:34:47 200mill is nothing compared to the investment.
4 billion for the componant BPO's 1.8 for the freighter BPO somewhere in the region of 1 bill for the minerals to build the thing. so your close to 7 billion out of pocket before you make a bean.
if you only have 1 copy of each bpo, it will take close to 2 weeks to make the componants (most in less than a week, but they need about 100 bays x3hours per bay = 13 days).
the freighter takes 11 days to build it'self.
so for 7 billion isk & close to 4 weeks work, people feel 200m is to much profit!!
to give this some perspective, a dominix BPO costs about 650 mill, mineral cost is about 53 mill, they sell for about 70, thats about 40% profit & a dom take 4 hours tops to build.
200m for the freighter is less than 20% profit but monumentaly more effort!
Lets say your building you doms non stop (as you have to with the freighter componants), and decide to sell these dirt cheap, just 10 mill profit, , you'd make 660 mill profit in the 11 days it takes to make the freighter, or 1.4 bill if you include the componant build times.
1.5b is a lot of cash i'll grant you, a VERY lot of cash, but the builders of these are actualy making less profit than they would on any battleship.
please bare that in mind when your negotiating your purchase.
Thanks
P.S. Sorry for the rant
P.P.S. the next provi i'll have available for sale is in about 15-16 days, if you still need one then, let me know. <><><><> Freelancing Corp |

Totaly agree with you there ratty. Its a lot of work which the price of a straight trade would pay for... and rightly so.
It probably all boils down to the fact I'm trying to be cheeky and push my luck - But who wouldent when dealing with this amount of cash
I have got contacts from which I could get the minerals required so if any peeps out there know of folks doing BYOM deals that would be much appreciated.
